I do not recommend living here and urge all tenants of building 16 and in the property in general to test for mold in their unit. Several neighbors have mentioned to me they also have mold growing in their units. Camden didn’t fix several water leaks which in turned told to mold & mildew. Then they brought in industrial machines without killing the mold first. They put the machines directly on the mold source without confinement and blew this nasty fungi and repugnant smell all over my apartment for 4 weeks despite my protest to kill it first and seal off the rooms. Then they claimed it was dry to repair then decided they didn’t want to repair but instead wanted to remodel the entire unit and told me that I would have to transfer out. They broke my lease illegally. I moved to another property and realized after that the water damage ruined everything I owned and caused it to stink a horrendous odor. The new place I moved to was now contaminated and required two days of Mold Restoration cleaning and a Negative Air Machine and HVAC from top to bottom. Camden is refusing to pay for the invoice. They actually are shorting the payment by $200 and even refusing to replace damages caused by their negligence. Why am I required to pay for the mold cleanup? I don’t own the unit! In addition I have loss of property and other damage caused by their negligence. I reported the water leak 8 times and odor and even sent several emails requesting them to stop applying quick fixes. I may upload additional pictures shortly of mold growing in my water damage items as well as the moving truck taking the belongings to the trash dump. How dare them try to stick me with the bill. Especially when everything is on video and pictures and my service tickets history I have printed out in its entire 2.8 year history. Neighbors at both places are witness to both apartments to the mold and odors emerging from their water damage on my belongings that were less than a year old. I do not recommend living in any Camden properties. In addition their worker didn’t secure a pipe in 2018 which flooded two rooms. Twice in 2019 my ceilings rained water due to a screw in the upstairs bathtub missing. Amongst other issues. Pictures and video will be attached. Also you will find out that over 19 individuals had to have their tires replaced because their construction crew was leaving nails all throughout the property. Most of these complaints were posted in their private website community. To get a real picture of Camden you need to take their negative reviews seriously and speak to people whom have lived there.

Donnie and his team @ Camden Portifino are doing an Amazing job in Pembroke Pines. I had an Issue in my Apartment and the Service call was handled before I got home, The Same Day!!!! I commend all of Camden Portifino , Donnie, Jennifer, Henry , & Jabber . They know what "living Excellence " is all about !!!!

Apartments are flooding! Residents losing everything! Camden's response: if you talk about it, we can sue. 1. Other reviews talk about the sprinklers, apartments flooding, people losing everything they own, etc. At some point, even Scamden will finally fix this. (Though it seems to have been been a full year before it became "a priority" for them). The point isn't the flooding itself, the point is that WHEN THE CHIPS ARE DOWN, MANAGEMENT WILL TRY TO @$*( YOU. Every building can have issues. What differentiates one building from another is how they handle it. The aggressive, F-you, legalistic, adversarial approach taken by Camden is what for me defines the building (and other Camden properties), not the specifics of the flooding. 2. Camden is notorious for pressuring review sites like this to take reviews down. There is an internal listserv for Camden residents where screenshots of reviews that have been posted and then removed are hosted. Realize that any negative reviews you read here are the tip of the iceberg -- they are the only ones to survive the aggressive censorship campaign. 3. Camden Corporate operates from a dark place. Their response to flooded residents was to make them sign a contract stating that if they took any assistance at all (even just another apartment to dry off in at 4am after sprinklers went off and ruined everything you own and made your home uninhabitable), that they are never allowed to talk about it, including on social media, or ever do anything that might injure Camden's reputation. Can you imagine? SO you can get flooded out of your home by Camden's (in)actions, but God forbid that you tell your friends about it on Facebook. Put another way -- the same company that let your home and possessions be destroyed is also threatening to sue you if you talk about it. Camden Corporate actually thought this was a good policy. It was only after weeks of yelling and screaming from residents that they promised to remove this (which is pending). Someone from Camden Corporate asked residents a while ago "why don't you trust us?" This is why. Because the second our backs are turned, this @)$* goes on. 4. On-site Camden staff are nice, but they are not the ones making decisions. Camden Corporate makes decisions / breaks promises / doesn't follow through on commitments / tries to disseminate inaccurate information, and then leaves it to the on-site staff to try to justify the unjustifiable. It's a horrible position to be in.

We leased at Camden Glendale from August 31, 2015 - November 27, 2016 for a total of 15 months. Part of our lease required a non-negotiable $25 valet waste fee for waste removal (in addition to city of Glendale trash fee totaling $50-100 monthly) and non-nogtiable $89 monthly for AT&T Uverse (pre-wired) with 18mbps of internet. Trash was EVERYWHERE onsite and became so bad we had an ant infestation and roach issue. The trash room would be overflowing with trash and you couldn't even enter it. I have photos of trash to the ceiling! This complex has over 300 apartment units- with the amount of money they received monthly trash should not be an issue. Also, we got 3mbps monthly if we were lucky and I had to raise my data plan twice because it was so bad. We weren't able to facilitate repairs or dispatch a technician because we weren't the account holders- Camden was. If we wanted to get another service we could, but it was pre-wired for AT&T so we would have to pay it regardless. Add to that the fact that the pool heater never worked the entire time we lived there, the pool ADA chair never was working and I needed it if I wanted to use the pool alone due to my medical condition, the elevators went out every month sometimes for weeks at a time, the pet washing station was never stocked, the eLounge printer never was working, the dog park was filthy, the doors to the complex never worked and you would get locked out, the garage doors would break down and you would get trapped- it was never ending. At first we were patient because the complex was brand new and it was bound to have kinks. But after 6 months and finding we are paying for services and amenities we are not getting- we became vocal about our complaints regarding this as was 90% of the resident population. Then our AC/Heating went out and was never fixed- we put in 5 tickets for this and each time they were closed but it was never fixed. Again- with my medical condition this put me at risk. Our patience ran out so we reported them to the City. Then on September 24, 2016 we were issued a termination letter and threat of Eviction. When confronted about this, we were repeatedly assured it was not adverse (I.e. No delinquent rent, no violations, no complaints) but rather they are choosing not to renew. In the city of glendale they need to provide 90 day notice of termination or have to prove Just Cause which they assured us (in person and in writing) did not exist. So we were unexpectedly forced to move out over Thanksgiving without explanation despite being legally entitled to one. Since our departure they continued to terminate vocal residents and failed to provide 90 day notice but offered lease extensions to make it a full 90 days, but did not offer us the same. Then they failed to provide us our deposit within the 21 day limit required by law. After several email attempts were made to get answers, and advising them of our legal rights (I am a forensic psychologist and work in the criminal justice system and courts and my husband a nurse) they hired attorneys who issued us a cease and desist letter for defamation and harassment to prevent us from the ability to continue exercising our rights. They also accused me of extortion by malingering a medical condition despite that I fall under the protection of ADA and had a service dog on file. So we took them to small claims court and won. A judge called their claims of harassment bogus, their business practices unfair and discriminatory, and challenged them repeatedly during trial. The judgement was sent to them but they have ignored it and now they are past due in paying us. They continue to discriminate, retaliate, and practice unethically and we are now pursuing further legal action for these very reasons. We are also pursuing a class action now after turning that down previously because they clearly do not seem phased by their inhumane practice. Their assistant manager had a friend harass me on social media and she still works there. I have evidence of their maintenance manager entering resident apartments without Cause and has an arrest history, and he still works there. They have yet to take responsibility for their actions and we want to expose this because it continues to happen even after us. We have a friend who works for the city news paper, one who works for NFL (NFL doesn't like scandals!), ABC, we know the city attorney as my friends in-laws used to be the city attorneys for Glendale and Burbank and the current one comes over for dinner. We will take this as far as it goes until we are reimbursed fairly. And to think- this could have all been avoided if they handled this properly to begin with. But even after justice- they continue to scam us.

I am current resident and when i went to the administrative office to complain about garbage pick up not having been done. I was given the run around. This is an ADDITIONAL FEE TOO.
