i ordered amoxicillin and was given another antibiotic. The best for me is amoxicillin and I know this from experience. Also the prednisone was such a small dosage. Please understand that I have asthma and need quick resolution to prevent me from wheezing and using my inhaler. Can I get an order of amoxicillin-clav 800mg or 500mg?

It was confusing the routine was different from previous talks.
I was asked to list needed medications and when I listed 2 (1 as standby for future need), I could select only one. The whole process took 2 days since e-mails were sent from the doctor about lab work etc. which I did not expect and therefore saw belatedly.

My last visit was supposed to be free because it was a follow up call with code UCBOGO. I was still charged the fee.

Good at first
I went to their mobile app for congestion and a sinus infection. The app asks some health questions and then asks why you are contacting them. I indicated congestion and asked for an antibiotic, albuterol inhaler, and albuterol solution. I provided pictures of my old inhaler and the solution box. Process was very easy and smooth. I did not choose the doctor consult or the rush treatment. The estimated time was 1-2 hours. I received text updates and the 3 prescriptions were at my pharmacy within an hour. Highly recommend! Revised 11/27 - received a code for a free followup but the code wouldn't work and for three days all I get is "our medical team is busy - we will get back to you" and no one from their medical team has responded.

Out of Town Sick
I am out of town and decided to use this service for an upper respiratory infection, something I typically get a couple times a year. My regular dr provides the same medication each time I get it which does the trick to get me back on my feet within a day or so. I used this company a year ago with a great experience. This time, I have gone back and forth with the dr basically begging for the meds they easily provided the last time and that my regular dr always provides. After writing my review on trust pilot they reached out and their medical supervisor was able to get the issue resolved! I have edited my review to include the resolve and change my rating from a 1 star to a 3. It is still frustrating that it took 36 hours to resolve and that I had to write a bad review here to get results. Thankfully, this is now resolved.

Process Needs Improvement
The questionnaire is redundant, but overall the process was fairly simple. The payment was $40 initially. I tried finding more guidance on how they handled Dr. Notes but my efforts were unsuccessful.
Only after I paid the $40 fee, did I see within the terms and conditions at the very end, that it would be another $20 to get the excuse. Too late now!
I never spoke to an actual doctor or NP and received my treatment plan and prescriptions within an hour.
They need to be more up-front about their Dr. Note policies. They don't backdate, and only provide an excuse covering a (3) day period.
The process to get the note was frustrating and needs improvement. They message you to death and you have to wait for them to respond.
1st Message: They ask you to acknowledge all terms & conditions AGAIN (you do this when you submit the health questions)
2nd Message: Then, they ask you to send the dates needed for the excuse. Days to cover out, and date returning to work/school. Again, they don't backdate and will only provide (3) day excuses.
3rd Message: After sending the dates, they sent another message, saying an email would be sent with a link for payment & to reply once payment was made. I had to reach out twice, before receiving the email/link.
4th Message: I received email & made the payment. Then I replied confirming payment and provided my Transaction ID. (I had to message two more times before receiving a response).
Finally, around 2am I received an email with my attached excuse.
The person who signed my excuse didn't have any designations at the end of his name, like MD CNP, etc. which I found concerning. The layout
of their doctor's excuse and treatment plan document reminded me of those early 00s chain emails full of text in various colors, fonts, and sizes. None of it looks legitimate, and I couldn't find where they referenced their licensing info which typically you see on Medical Notes, Excuses, and other Treatment-related forms from a physician or family practice.
Teledoc is better if you have insurance.
I just waited too late in the day and had no other choice. I would use it again in a pinch as long as my son's school doesn't question the legitimacy of the Dr. Excuse based on how it's presented.

On 4/24/24 my 10 year old son…
On 4/24/24 my 10 year old son complained of a headache & eye pain so I kept him home from school. He has bad allergies so this is not uncommon for him plus he had seemed “off” for a few days & his brother had a cold the week before so figured it was one or the other. As the day went on his eyes started getting redder & redder & I had talked to multiple moms of children in his class who had pink eye. By the next morning it was pretty obvious that he had pink eye too. I made the mistake of choosing a high deductible plan this year & it seems like my kids have been to the doctor every other week since January. I did not feel like spending another $200 to have a Dr see him in person to tell us what we already knew in order to get eye drops. But it was also one of those days where I didn’t even feel like doing a telemedicine video visit either. I work from home, so waiting to connect to a video visit, even though more convenient than an in-person visit, still interferes with my job. My kids always come first, but they have come first A LOT in the last few months so I went in search of a telemedicine provider that I could chat or text with & found callondoc. Apparently I used them in the past because I already had an account. It was super easy. I just sent some pics, provided an explanation & our info & that was it. The price was reasonable & I even saw my account had “birthday” credits so the visit didn’t even cost anything. So 3 stars for all of that. It would have been 5 stars had it not been for the hassle of getting a doctor’s excuse. After the visit I went in to get the visit notes which were hardly visit notes at all. Definitely not anything I could provide to the school for his absence. So I messaged customer service to request a dr’s note. They responded very quickly & said they could provide one but it would cost an additional $20. ???? I had never heard of such a thing so I asked them to clarify that they wanted me to pay more money for a note after I had already paid for a visit. Customer service was quick to send me the writing in the terms & conditions outlining this cost. So if you are like me & tend to skim or skip the fine print, you have to pay extra for a dr’s excuse. Initially I told them to take a hike, but when I realized there was no way my son was going to be going to school the next day & a dr’s excuse is required for 3 days absence, I knew I was stuck. So I agreed & asked if I could use the rest of my credit to pay for it, which they said I could. Now 13 messages back & forth & 5 days later, I still don’t have the excuse because the customer service team has to be one of the most inept I have ever dealt with & the policies of this company are ridiculous. So the first thing I am told is that they cannot provide an excuse for 4/24 since he was not under their care at this time. Never have I ever seen any provider with this policy. Ever. People don’t typically rush to the Dr on day one of an illness, especially if they think it’s a cold or allergies. But at this point, it’s whatever, I need the note. I have agreed to whatever nonsense they have wanted me to for 5 days now & each new message is asking me the same thing or asking me what days he was off. Each time I tell them he was off 4/24-4/26 & then we have to start over with the whole they won’t excuse for the 4/24. So tonight I have been going back & forth with them telling them he returned on 4/29 & they are telling me that they can only excuse for 3 days so do I want a return date of 4/27 or 4/28…which was THE WEEKEND. Listen, initially I thought this was an awesome & convenient way to get low cost medical care fast, but now I am second guessing the whole thing. It seems to me like it may just be a dr’s excuse mill, churning out excuses as long as you pay the fees. The whole not excusing a patient for the day before you “diagnosed” them & being so strict on your 3 day excuse limits that you can’t use common sense, just seems like red flags that they are going out of their way not to raise any red flags. Anyway, it wasn’t worth the hassle. I should have just spent the $200 & went to a real doctor. I have until Wed to turn the excuse in or I could get a fine for truancy. Even if I get the excuse I may still get one because I need all the days to be excused. & now it’s too late to see a real doctor because the pink eye is gone!

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
We truly appreciate your input as we continuously strive to improve our services for all our patients.
Telehealth services, while convenient and accessible, have certain limitations compared to traditional in-person healthcare visits. In the case of providing excuses, telehealth providers typically follow guidelines and regulations that are in place to ensure appropriate and responsible medical care. While we aim to accommodate our patient's needs to the best of our ability, the nature of telehealth consultations may restrict our ability to provide extended excuses.
Therefore, in situations where a longer period of absence from work or other activities may be necessary, it may be advisable to seek in-person evaluation and care from a healthcare provider who can conduct a more thorough assessment and provide appropriate documentation based on the specific circumstances of your condition.
We hope for another opportunity to serve you better in the future. If you have any further concerns or feedback, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
