The staff are polite and professional but the service is not helpful thus far. Children being tutored would benefit from a learning style assessment at the beginning of the service so that the sessions could be tailored towards their individual learning needs. Given the high price and long term contract, children should be able to receive 1:1 sessions when the need arises as opposed to a one size fits all group approach. In the long run, individualized services would benefit C2 as clients would gladly refer other families, private/public schools, PTAs and other organizations.

My daughter attended C2 in Del Mar for approximately 6 months to assist with her GPA as well as SAT testing. The initial person who was there when we first signed up (I think her name was Brittany) was wonderful and we both liked her a lot. She then left and we had Marge who was ok but not as effective and my daughter did not like her nearly as much. Her SAT score went up slightly and then actually went down which was frustrating. It then went back up to the same score it initially increased to. Some of the tutors were great (English and Science) and others (Math) just ok. We spent $6000 and her Chemistry and English grade did go up but the SAT score was way more of a challenge so it's honestly hard to really determine if we got our money's worth.

We have had a few communication issues; for example, not being told about test dates.

My child spent hours and hours at C2 and although his scores were near perfect on the practice exams, they were not reflected in the results of the actual SATs. Jonathan Hong is an asset to C2 Education and I hope he will be able to transition back into his Director position. Thank you.
