I’ve had hot flashes on and off since I turned 40, and night sweats have flared up here and there I thought I was controlling using herbs. but this year, at 46, the night sweats became unstoppable. They rolled in every 2 hours and lasted 20 minutes. I was losing sleep and becoming very upset. My doc told me she couldn’t recommend HRT because I’m too young and they only want to put me on it for a max of 5 years because of the risk of breast cancer. I deep dive into this told me this information is incorrect. Desperate for rest, I signed up with Winona and one other company to compare. Winona recommended a compounded cream that has estrogen & progesterone. The other company recommended an estrogen patch and a progesterone pill. Since apparently the pill has a few side effects (bloating, tiredness, breast tenderness) and the cream does not, I went with Winona and the cream. It took longer than I expected to take effect. The hot flashes started lessening after 3 weeks, and it took 7 to eliminate them entirely, but now they’re gone and I am so flipping relieved.

Losing sleep and feeling upset every night must have been incredibly tough. I’m so glad you took the time to research and advocate for yourself when the information you received didn’t feel right.
