While the USPS can experience delays beyond our control, this particular shipment appears to be arriving on time. Bioidentical hormones are identical in chemical and molecular structure to the hormones produced naturally in the body. They are created through a process that extracts and purifies plant-derived hormones, which are then compounded by a licensed pharmacist and prescribed by a board-certified physician. We also understand your concerns regarding DHEA. While DHEA is available for purchase over the counter, at Winona we offer it as a prescription medication because patient safety is our priority. Prescribing DHEA allows our physicians to recommend doses that are both safe and appropriate based on each patient's individual needs. We recognize that treatment response varies from person to person. While many women begin experiencing symptom relief within the first month of treatment, approximately 80% report significant relief within three months. However, some patients require adjustments to their treatment plan, and not every therapy is the right fit for every individual. We also apologize for the frustration you experienced with your refill process. After 10 weeks of treatment, all patients must complete their follow up to prevent running out of refills.
