Winona’s subscription model is designed to automatically process refills so that patients can receive their medications without interruptions in treatment. While doctors do not routinely conduct a check-in before every refill, your doctor remains available through the platform at any time if you have questions, concerns, are not seeing the progress you expected, or feel that adjustments to your dosage or treatment plan may be needed. Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! We’re glad to hear that you’ve found the process easy, both for getting started and making adjustments when needed. We also appreciate your perspective regarding lab work. In accordance with The Menopause Society and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Winona does not require routine bloodwork or hormone testing before prescribing HRT. Hormone levels can fluctuate greatly from day to day, and lab values do not always correlate with how a patient actually feels. It’s possible for bloodwork to appear “normal” while symptoms are still significantly impacting quality of life. Because of this, our providers focus on symptoms, medical history, and how patients respond to treatment over time. Our goal is to help women feel better, not simply treat numbers on a lab report. We truly appreciate your honesty, support, and trust in Winona!
