Initially I thought this was the greatest thing ever after feeling like no one knew how I was feeling or what I was going through. The community seemed very deep and understanding. After reaching out at the eight week mark and waiting days for a response I had an opportunity to speak with my GP and tell her about the community and support I felt with Winona and their doctors. My GP is not a menopause specialist but she talked to me about the prescribed medications and the complications of (especially one) of them. She immediately ran bloodwork and I have made the decision to work with her directly to manage my symptoms and have asked to be removed from the patient list at Winona.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re really glad to hear that you initially felt seen and supported, that’s so important, especially during a time when symptoms can feel overwhelming. We’re sorry to hear about the delay in response when you reached out, and we understand how that may have impacted your confidence in continuing care. Timely communication matters, and we appreciate you bringing that to our attention. We respect your decision to work directly with your GP and are glad you’ve found a path forward that feels right for you. Wishing you the very best as you continue your care.
