$59 / month.
$59 / month, indefinitely(?), for "certification" Part of me doesn't think this would be a bad gig if (what is essentially) a subscription wasn't required. Across the board, NEVER PAY TO GET A JOB. That's Sleazy Business 101. Jacob's presentation was fine. Honestly, I would lean into this opportunity if it did not require a monthly fee. The actual description of the job itself is something I'd do, on the side. All they have to do it work that $60 into the commission or something, and I'd be in. Requiring a certification or license isn't an issue - that is a reasonable expectation - but paying your employer an indefinite subscription is not how it should be done. An upfront fee to arrange learning materials and a for proctor the exam? I could see that, but not a subscription. I'm staying out of debt and away from payments, not looking for a side job that requires you to pay the equivalent of 4x Amazon Prime accounts to keep.

Hi Kristopher, Thank you for sharing your concerns. I completely understand your hesitations, particularly regarding the monthly fee, and I’d like to provide some clarity about how BWJ Travel operates. First, I want to assure you that BWJ Travel is not a "pay-to-play" or MLM business. The monthly fee you mentioned is not simply a subscription; it covers several critical elements that empower our agents to succeed. This includes: Certification: A comprehensive program that equips agents with the knowledge and tools to confidently connect with and book the leads and clients we provide. Licensing: As part of the fee, agents are registered under our IATA (International Air Transport Association) accreditation, enabling them to act as licensed travel agents. Coverage: All of our agents must be covered by our E&O (Errors and Omissions) insurance, which protect them in the event of mistakes during booking or when working with these clients. Additionally, the fee supports ongoing access to robust tools, training, and resources, along with personalized support to help agents grow their business. It’s not just a recurring payment but an investment in a turnkey business model that allows agents to focus on booking and earning without worrying about backend complexities. I understand that in a world full of scams, skepticism is natural. That’s why I’ve sent you an email inviting you to connect with me directly. I’d love the opportunity to discuss our program in detail, address any questions or concerns, and explain why so many of our agents are thriving under this model. I look forward to hearing from you and having a productive conversation. Best regards, Edwin S. Chief of Operations BWJ Travel, LLC
