Unfortunate Experience
Unfortunately, my experience with this company was the worse experience I’ve had in business with a company. The website does not detail which type of virtual address is needed for different ventures so I purchased a regular address for which I paid $240. I instantly had a terrible gut feeling after making this purchase after I seen the address they provided. Unlike other websites they don’t pre populate the address so you can see that it doesn’t look like a regular address. Once you purchase you’re stuck with the address. The state then rejected the address due to incorrect formatting for a business. I contacted the company all within less than 24 hours of the purchase. My purchase was still pending at the time and could have easily been reversed. Instead that took days to respond, then offered me a replacement product that was $100 less than the one I paid for and denied a refund. They offered me a refund and said I could then purchase the correct item only to ignore my response for a month and then later retract the offer for a refund after I reached back out for a follow up. I’m very disappointed in this disheartening level of customer service and the overall experience. Please do all of your research and reach out for questions (expect days before getting an answer) before you choose services with this company! Update: I have email proof that this company ignored my response for nearly a month from December 20th to January 14th and did not respond until AFTER I reached out for an update on January 14th. As previously stated please make sure you are doing proper research and asking questions to understand what you are about to purchase BEFORE making a purchase.
Response from BusinessAnywhere LLCJan 24, 2024
Hi Ashley, sorry to hear about your experience. As noted in our email conversations, our virtual mailbox address cannot be used as a registered agent address. This is clearly stated in our terms (https://businessanywhere.io/terms/). I'll quote from our terms under Prohibited Use, 4c, "BusinessAnywhere LLC’s virtual mailbox service is not intended or authorized for use as a registered agent address in any business registration processes. Users agree and acknowledge that virtual mailbox addresses provided by BusinessAnywhere LLC cannot and shall not be used as the registered agent address for the purpose of business registration, legal processes, or any official government correspondence requiring a registered agent. Any attempt to use BusinessAnywhere LLC’s virtual mailbox addresses for such purposes is strictly prohibited and may result in the immediate termination of mailbox services and other potential legal consequences." You agreed to these terms upon purchase of service. After emailing us, we agreed to change your service from our virtual mailbox product to our registered agent product. We even agreed to refund you the difference. However you immediately disputed the credit card charge after we made you this offer and once you initiated the dispute, we are not able to make any changes until you either cancel the dispute with your bank or the dispute is resolved. We emailed you explaining that you need to cancel the dispute so that we could process the partial refund and change your service, but you refused. We responded to every email you sent same day or next business day and addressed your issue and offered to correct the situation. Update: Ashley, I appreciate your effort to discredit us, but we also have the entire email thread where we responded to you immediately upon receiving your initial inquiry. I personally responded to your email informing you that our virtual mailbox service cannot be used as a registered agent address and referred you to the terms and conditions as noted above (which you agreed to). I also have the entire email thread where we immediately offered to change the service to registered agent service and offered the refund on the price difference (which we had no obligation to do since we have a no refund policy on digital services). You chose to dispute the credit card charge which then froze the process since we cannot make any changes until the dispute is resolved. But with your last statement, I would wholeheartedly agree. You, and anyone else, should understand what you are purchasing by reading the product description and terms to understand and confirm that you are getting the service you need instead of making assumptions. This could have all been avoided if you would have just read the product description and terms to confirm you get what you needed. This could also have been avoided if you would have not place the credit card dispute which would have allowed us to change your service and issue the refund.
