Short Term Rental
I was not impressed by the management of Buckingham Realty. I had a short term rental with Buckingham for 4 months. There were many repairs and services needed on the house and Buckingham never took responsibility to coordinate or communicate these appointments. The lack of communication was extremely frustrating.

Thank you for your review, Michelle. We do apologize for the inconvenience of the repairs/services needed during your stay. It is our goal to keep prompt communication with our guests. However, in this instance, the owner had ordered repairs to be done through her home warranty company, and she failed to mention some of these service appointments to us, so we were unable to communicate that to you. Because of this, we have requested she inform us of any future appointments, and that a 24-hour notice must be given so we can give our guests ample notice. We hope you stay with us again in the future so we can provide you with better service next time!

Stated sleeps 12 but didn’t even have a…
Stated sleeps 12 but didn’t even have a water heater to keep up with 10. Only one person could shower every hour and the cleaning fee is BS. Sheets in master had white powder on them

This property should NOT be listed as any sort of Luxury rental. It is 2 star at best. It smelled like wet dog and there weren’t enough towels. Very difficult to access the ski slope without driving to it. Management group is slow in responding to requests.

The house was dusty and there were hair…
The house was dusty and there were hair all over the place including shower and bedding. We were very disappointed.

Not advertised correctly. Extreme basics in house.
The house had only extreme basics - no coffee maker, no can opener, no extra towels, no extra bedding. The last email of our booking and the bottom of the page mentioned boundaries of the beach. Advertising of the house was not clear as to what beach access we have for the weekend. A room off the master with a fireplace and couch was closed and locked off, again that wasn’t advertised correctly. We were the last renters of Marla Bay house so that may have been why we were left without basic rental house supplies.

We do try to properly advertise all of our properties online, and we apologize if you feel you were deceived. As you mentioned, this property is no longer with our rental program, as the owner had decided to move into the property full time, which is much of the reason changes were made to the property prior to your stay.
