BSI is a FRAUD!!
BSI is a FRAUD!!! They delay cashing checks so an account can be considered 'past due' PLUS one's account is accruing interest during THEIR delay! If one pays via bill pay through one's bank, BSI says that a company called FiServ determines that the only way to pay is by a physical check, which is taken from your account 7 days before the due date. So, one is at the mercy of the mail service to ensure that the check is received in time. For example, funds were removed from my account on the 1st of the month. BSI says they did not receive the funds until the 14th. Yet, my bank shows BSI was in receipt of my check as early as the 7th.
As per BSI, there are two ways to avoid a possible delay. 1) give BSI ones' full banking info to set up auto-pay. Or, 2) call them every month to make the payment. There too, one must give them full banking info so they can process the payment. DO NOT DO THAT!!!!! BSI also changes due dates WITHOUT notification.
BSI customer service (haha!) reps are rehearsed to give their clients the runaround. And "supervisors" or "escalation dept."?? There is no such thing. It's just the guy/gal in the cubicle next to the first, or in my case, the 6th that, only if you're unlucky, you'll talk to. The date attached to my review is ONLY the most recent. I've been dealing with them for a long, long time.
BOTTOM LINE: steer clear of this company!!!!!

Extremely frustrating and unprofessional servicing experience particularly with Chris Brooks and Mirrie Mitchell
My experience with BSI Financial Services has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have had with a mortgage servicer. What should have been a straightforward refinance/payoff process turned into repeated confusion, inconsistent information, changing payoff figures, and unnecessary stress.
I repeatedly requested clear, itemized explanations of the amounts being charged and how my payments were being applied. I received multiple statements with different figures and had to repeatedly follow up for clarification. At one point, BSI issued a reinstatement quote stating that payment of the quoted amount would bring the loan current, yet additional fees and charges subsequently appeared, requiring further reconciliation.
The communication was particularly disappointing. In my experience, both Chris Brooks and Mirrie Mitchell were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional in their communications. Rather than making the process easier, their responses often made an already difficult situation more frustrating. I should not have had to repeatedly push for basic explanations regarding my own loan and payoff.
To be clear, my complaint is not simply about being charged fees. My concern is the inconsistency, lack of transparency, difficulty obtaining a clear accounting, and the way I was treated when asking legitimate questions.
Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend BSI Financial Services. Given by their frequent 1 star review, institutions and individuals shouldn't deal with them.

This is the worst place for your mortgage service
This is the worst place to have your mortgage serviced. They have a very confusing site and will not assist in any corrections that can be made even minutes after it occurs. I tried to pay an additional principle mortgage payment and the site charged me a full mortgage payment plus the additional payment. I called customer service right away but they said they could not cancel the transaction. To add injury to insult they also forgot to pay my taxes on time and charged me for the late payment. Just stay away from these guys if you can.

If I could rate zero I would they are…
If I could rate zero I would they are horrible to work with we had no choice our former bank sold our loan to them while we were under bankruptcy. They wouldn't even give me my account number to make a payment.

Terrible System of Reporting
They send you a letter with a unique identifier that never works. You then try and email them to insurance documents they requests and they say they never receive them. After hours on the phone and many attempts at sending them the information - they finally get it. This happens year after year. Very poor system - lost documents and instills you with a sense of incompetence as to where your personal informaiton is going.

I requested information about making…
I requested information about making payments every two weeks and tried it based on the discussion with the agent. The payments were automatic, but I started getting late notices. When I called, I was told not to worry as the messages were automatic because I was set up on monthly payments. After a few more months, I called back as I was feeling uneasy, and a different person said it was set up incorrectly. I should have made an extra payment to get ahead, then switched to paying half payments every two weeks. Since I was incurring late penalties, I told them to stop putting me back on single payments. Second issue: I'm selling my home, and it has been in escrow since 2/13/2016, but I can't get a status update from the company. I called multiple times and was told my request had been escalated to a supervisor and that someone would contact me, but it never happened. I put in a ticket and notes say someone is working on my ticket and will reach out in 48 hours, and again nothing. If you can avoid this company, I would, but we don't have a choice, as mortgages are bundled and sold. This is so sad!

Autopay is a scam
I put my mortgage payment on autopay and was charged twice. I requested a reversal and was told it would take 2 weeks. Now after 2 weeks i was told they are mailing me a check!!! My next payment is almost due and still havent seen a refund. Worst customer service ever.
