Too many call outs, poor communication, most did not know how to load dish washer, had to call to find out about no show, had a hard time getting them to understand how many days I wanted someone for transition to memory care. A flipper got burned/destroyed on the heating element in the dish washer and was never reimbursed for cost, although they said they would. The only thing that was really good was Irish.

This review is only for the Brightstar care in Merrillville Indiana. There are many negative reviews for other cities, but this is the best home health care agency in Lake County IN! This is the one you want taking care of your loved one! We've had several agencies prior to Brightstar, two of them were ok, one was not good at all; which is why I was looking for a new agency. On another web site, Brightstar had a 4.8 out of 5 stars, so I called them and found out why! Nobody compares to this Brightstar office! The office staff, especially Adrienne and Tory, genuinely cares about meeting your needs, and does what it takes to get it done. They never act like you're bothering them, but take as much time as I need to explain what I'm needing; and they do it with a good/cheerful attitude! Octavia, our first caregiver with them, was great, but had schedule conflicts, which resulted in them sending Destiny to us, who is absolutely phenomenal! She's excellent at her job, very caring and kind, does a great job and performs her duties to our requirements every time. She's fast and thorough; as well as extremely honest, respectful, and trustworthy; and always on time or early! My wife was a CNA for many years, but now is needing to be cared for herself, as she's now bedridden. So If Rita tells you Destiny is THE BEST, that's saying a lot! Thank you Destiny! She's the respite care giver that I need! You better not loose her as an employee! And thank you ladies in the office!

My nurse name was Tracy omg she was so so good she was an angel sent from heaven very patient and kind and got my leg healed very fast Iiss her so much she was my Nurse RN she would always let me know what time she was coming and was.never late she helped me.physically, mentally and spiritually I miss her and if you see her tell her she was a great nurse they need more people like her in the hospitals She a wonderful person that takes her job seriously, bright star you got a good nurse. Don't lose her and my PT he did his job and was gone he was great also I can't say or spell his name he was from Nigeria and very kind I miss him to since he been gone my knees have started back hurting

Both of the women who help me are great and have been pretty consistent over recent months. They are timely and get my tasks done well

I wanna say thanks for the loving care that Cynthia give to my husband Richard, she's a joy to be around and communicate with she's always laughing and talking and I have accepted her like family we are so grateful for Cynthia.

Horrible company with no manners or thoughts for other residents. Rude and unhelpful and seem to be dead set to upset as many people as possible. Not professional at all. Rubbish rubbish rubbish

BrightStar in Columbus, Ohio, contracted through the Franklin County Office of Aging, is extremely unprofessional and disorganized. Their schedulers and management do not respond to emails, cannot maintain consistent coverage for the elderly, and frequently ignore calls from both employees and customers. Staff frequently complain about poor communication, and turnover is constant. The scheduling manager provides incorrect information, and the company fails to coordinate properly. In my experience, I was informed only two days before an aide was supposed to assist my 102-year-old grandmother that they had “ended the contract” and no one would be coming—yet the program manager later confirmed that a 30-day notice is required. Overall, BrightStar shows a complete lack of professionalism and respect for clients and staff. I strongly advise against using their services.

Caregivers better than some other services. Struggles with having caregivers show up. Can't get replacement care if a caregiver is no show. Staff is unprofessional.
