Have used two bags from them
Have used two bags from them. One with an AIO system and another for 1 gal test batches. The bags hold up great and clean easy. When (if) my current bags need replaced, I know where I am getting them from.

This is my second Brew Bag from you. The first one is still working fine as I’ve done several dozen batches with great results. It was just so brown stained and starting to wear thin in a few areas. I got my money’s worth and then some.

The 800 micron bag when used for 'on grain' fermentation without any boiling process has significant cleanup issues -- possibly some manufacturing issues in my view. For some reason the seams on the mesh overlap at the bag seam area. That is not the case for the finer 200 micron mesh bag. The effect is that debris and particles gets trapped in this overlap area and cleaning the bag took over 90 minutes and a toothbrush. Suggestions that this is not important do not reflect practical knowledge of 'on grain' fermentation. Use of this bag in this application made the mashing process more difficult and more time consuming. The intention was to strain out the grain in preparation for further processing. The effect was a cleanup mess. Bag re-use requires stringent cleaning process. Very disappointing.

I'm familiar with your issue and wish you would have contacted us before spending the time to scrub it out as there are a couple of easier ways. Since the grain went into the seam - it will come out of the seam, and it doesn't require a toothbrush. Some people toss it in the washing machine and allow the turbulence and the water to take care of it. Others use a bio dissolving product like PBW to soak and rinse. And, you can also rinse thoroughly under the highest pressure available after use and hang to dry, then snap the bag like a towel or blow out the remaining particulates. Give any of those methods a try and I think you'll be much more inclined to using the bag. You don't mention if the bag actually made the mashing process easier, more efficient, or faster - but we know that it does all those things, so we think the bag worked as intended as you don't say otherwise. And, we've never had a one star review of the product - ever - so you're the first to put so much emphasis on cleanup and rate the product based on that issue. The fabric has to be sewn in the manner you see so that the seam will hold together under stress, otherwise the bigger holes in the 800 micron will not hold the thread.
