Sorry to hear Breakout Clips wasn't the right fit for you. Happy to clarify a few things: On credits: Credits are only used when you render a final video. You can preview and make unlimited edits beforehand without spending any credits. If you edit an AI video after it's been rendered, yes, that uses credits. If you rendered a video with Kling AI or Google Veo and wanted to edit it afterwards, it would use credits too - that's standard across every major AI video platform, not just Breakout Clips. That said, we give you multiple video outputs at no extra credits, plus free regenerations - which most AI video platforms don't offer. On video length: Breakout Clips is designed for short-form, scroll-stopping hooks - the kind that grab attention in the first few seconds on social media. Video duration is shown on the free plan before purchase, so this isn't information we gatekeep. If you're looking for longer explainer-style videos or talking avatars, we're probably not the right tool - and we've never advertised those features. On mobile access: You can access our platform directly from your browser on any device - no app download needed. On pricing: The $99 plan is not our cheapest option - we also offer a $39 plan, which might have been a better fit. Hi Mike, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. You raise a fair point about the pricing page - the public/private distinction between plans should be more visible there, and we're adding it. For anyone reading, we do want to share the full picture. There is a visible toggle at the animation step showing whether a video will be public or private - this is accessible on the free plan, before signing up for a plan or paying for anything. This is also disclosed in our Terms of Service. And users on the Pro plan have full privacy controls to opt out of the Community Showcase entirely. The community showcase is a core part of what makes Breakout Clips special - it's how our users discover what's possible, find inspiration, and remix each other's videos into something new. It's one of the most loved features on the platform. Public-by-default on lower tiers is standard across AI creative platforms - Midjourney, for example, has several pricing tiers and makes all content public on every plan below their $60/month Pro tier. When Mike reached out to our support team about this, his full refund was processed within 6 minutes. He hadn't rendered any videos yet, and therefore no content was visible in the community showcase page. We don’t offer or advertise a free trial; the Free Plan is available to use indefinitely. This gives you full access to explore all features - including all templates and animations - and build your videos at no cost. This experience helps you get a better feel for the platform to decide if Breakout Clips is right for you. Our free plan is designed to be as generous and transparent as possible - we don’t lock any features or limit what you can build. The only restriction is downloading, which helps us fairly cover real rendering and infrastructure costs while still letting you explore the platform risk-free. While free downloads aren’t included on this plan, you can preview exactly what your finished video will look like. At the animation step, your video loops endlessly - giving you a full, accurate preview before deciding whether to render and download. If you’re happy with how it looks and want to download it, that’s the only point where we ask you to subscribe to a paid plan. If not, no upgrade is required. Hi there, Thanks for your review, we appreciate all feedback. We have reviewed this case, and we can see you signed up for our $39/month plan and you were a customer for 15 months (totalling the value you stated in your review). In accordance with our terms of service, within 1 hour of receiving your ticket in our support desk, we replied to you with the following: - We refunded your most recent charge (it was within our refund period). - We ensured your subscription was cancelled so you would not be billed again going forward. We offer a free plan, which allows you to play around inside the software, build your videos and browse all our features and animations for free. This experience helps you get a better feel of our service to decide if Breakout Clips is right for you. When you're happy that you think it's right for your business - only then do we ask you to subscribe in order to download your video. You state you had no idea we would charge you $39, however our checkout clearly states how much you will pay each month (and that it is a monthly subscription) and does not mention any trial period. We are explicitly clear in our messaging, and would disagree with your assessment of it being shady.
