Eigentlich hatte Ich diesen Browser schon abgehackt und z.B. von meinem Smartphone entfernt. Irgendwie hatte Ich nicht bemerkt das Ich den Brawe Browser noch auf meinem Windows Rechner mit mehreren offenen Fenster installiert hatte. Kürzlich habe Ich jetzt mit den Brawe Browse gearbeitet um die Infos auf den offenen Tabs zu entnehmen. Siehe da sofort am ersten Tag kam es zu suspekten Abbrüchen bzw. Blockieren von aufgerufenen Seiten. Überhaupt nicht überzeugend sondern sehr suspekt !

If I set my location to Danmark it will search in Sweden, US or UK, and it will continue doing so even after turning off my VPN. It was working fine with VPN before, but now it is the most annoying thing for browsing the internet. Wanna go safe browsing? Get FireFox and DuckDuck Go and use virtual machines. There is just no easy way to do it.

Une fois de plus dans le monde merveilleux du numérique, bla-bla, pipeau et poudre de perlimpinpin. Juste pour dire : quelques minutes d'utilisation et plusieurs dizaines de fichiers de suivis nettoyés ensuite par CCleaner. Avec Waterfox, moins de dix, et avec les mêmes bloqueurs en plus. CQFD.

I think it’s time to kick Brave browser to the curb. Brave has gotten worse and worse over the last few years to the point where I find myself wasting far too much time attempting to debug Brave’s issues. All browsers have their issues and design quirks, but at some point you have cut your losses and settle for the one you have the least problems with and for me it’s Firefox. Here is a short list of some of the issues (the ones I can remember) that I’ve run into with the Brave browser over the years. 1. Some website’s downloads end up in la-la land (i.e., I have no idea where Brave put the download, but it acts like the download was successful) so for those websites I have to switch browsers to get the documents downloaded to where I tell them to download. 2. Some websites won’t come up at all (or take a very long time to come up). I just get a blank page. 3. Some URLs get redirected to an alternative webpage for no apparent reason (Walmart, Spotify, others) and clearing caches, cookies, history, etc. often doesn’t fix the issue, but does cause me to have to reenter login data for dozens of websites I use regularly. 4. No way (that I’m aware of) to keep bookmarks in sync with Brave browsers on my various PCs so I have to resort to saving bookmarks on one PC and merging them with bookmarks on another PC and Brave’s bookmark merge capability leaves a lot to be desired. 5. Too many updates with no explanation as to what the updates fix, if anything, or why I should perform an update. Clearly these issues, and more, are Brave issues because I don’t have these issues when using Firefox, Chrome, or Safari on my MacBook, but I do have them with Brave on all my PCs.

Le navigateur en lui même fonctionne plutôt bien. Il est souvent nécessaire de retourner vers Chrome pour des achats sur internet notamment. La protection contre les pubs fonctionne plutôt bien également. Pourquoi ne mettre que 2 étoiles alors ? Et bien tout simplement car brave ne tient pas ses promesses sur les récompenses. Le navigateur est censé rémunérer l'utilisateur par rapport à des publicités ciblées qu'il reçoit. Cette rémunération avec la crypto BAT fonctionne très mal. Déjà parlons de cette rémunération, en plusieurs années d'utilisation j'ai accumulé 25 BAT c'est à dire 4 dollars, une véritable fortune hihi. Mais c'est visiblement trop pour brave qui dans un premier temps ne m'envoyait plus de pubs pour baisser de manière drastique ce que je pouvais gagner puis qui a finalement signalé mon compte uphold sur lequel je reçois ma fortune de brave. Je ne recois plus rien depuis le mois de mai. Bref si vous chercher un bon navigateur allez y mais ça n'est pas encore un modèle sur les récompenses. Je vais le desinstaller pour recommencer avec qwant.
