Very upsetting to have heard wonderful comments from friends who shop Boscov's. My first, and only, time shopping there was a dreadful experience. The customer service was extremely rude, the store was closing and they harassed my friend and I to get out of the store (Butler, PA), and refused to ring out my friend's items because it was 9:00 pm. Who has ever even heard of such a thing. I called Jim Boscov, who seemed authentically apologetic, and he said he would send me something in the mail to make up for the terrible experience we had. That was 2 months ago! Never saw anything. I just think you should honor your customers, because you'd like them to be return customers. On the upside: the clothes were wonderful, and my daughter loved her purchases. Not sure if I will go back since I have read many, many reviews of dissatisfied customers. Not sure if it is worth the hassle!

I can't find a minus 1 star so here it is... MINUS ONE STAR. Between Nov-Dec 2016, I bought over $350.00 worth of women's clothing for myself-I hardly ever get to shop and I was gifted so I ran to my favorite Boscov's in Moorestown. Many of the items I didnt get to wear due to our unusually warmer winter. However I washed everything and after a month or two began wearing them. Not keeping my receipt, or not being able to find it (YET),knowing how reliable Boscov's quality USED TO BE, I can not return them. My experience: **Sweaters Pull over-long sleeved-The front left upper torso's wore see-through thin after 2 usese-yes-I washed and dried them by hand carefully even though the care instructions said ok to wash on gentle. **Fleece Vest zipper up and a blue robe- SHED-SHED-SHED, all over whatever I wore it with and all over my entire seatbelt-UNACCEPTABLE. **Button up deep royal blue over sweater-oh my gosh, after 2 hand wash and dries, and one aif fluff tumble dry, it covered my ENTIRE white turtle neck pullover I wore under it with blue LINT-MICRO LINT I should say.. I took the sweater off at an appoitment I had and was completely humiliated. Associates are cold and stiff. The shoe department is unacceptable and needs to be spread out and use a number system especially during busy shopping seaons and sales. NO WONDER YOUR PRICES LOOK SO GOOD AND I LOST A LOT OF MONEY AND CAN NOT WEAR THE CLOTHES-MOST ALL OF THEM ANYWAY. Boscov's will NEVER see me in ANY of their stores again. May not hurt your pocket book but it will help the next sales venue I do choose to shop at. SHAME ON YOU BOSCOV'S. WHERE ARE THESE CLOTHES COMING FROM? EVEN IF YOU GUYS NEVER READ THIS, I AM SO GLAD I FOUND I AM NOT ALONE IN THE HORRIBLE CHANGE IN THE BOSCOV BRAND AND IT'S SIGNIFACANT DOWNFALL in quality and customer service. WE ALL WORK TOO HARD SO PLEASE STOP RIPPING US OFF. and-***THE TOY DEPARTMENT DURING 2016 CHRISTMAS-The gentleman at checkout needs to retire and I'm close to his age. I spent over $400 for all of my grandchildren and he was rude, a bit flustered that I had so many items and he insisted I gave him the wrong amount at paying until another customer in line pointed out HIS error. Yes, it took me this long to write because I am a forgiving person. I try to see the good but after reading all of these reviews my frustration surfaced regarding this matter. My caps are not yelling, they are meant to EMPHASIZE. AND-The clothing tags are sown with cheap nylon thread that pokes at the back of my neck on almost every item. GET WITH IT-Mr. BOSCOV WOULD BE FLIPPING HIS LID GOD REST HIS SOUL. I hope you bring back the high standards our recent Mr. Boscov always upheld if not, I hope all of your stores close. Joanne Brown

Returned item with tracking, boscovs is refusing to help and customer services is terrible. No help or support. Will not order from Boscovs again...

I made an online purchase from Boscov"s and received the worst customer service ever. My item was delivered with half of the contents missing. I phoned customer service immediately and also sent two e-mails asking to have the missing items shipped to me. I have received no response to my e-mails and was told by the representative that maybe they can take the missing items from a box at the store and ship them to me. I have not heard or received them or any explanation. I would return the item except for the fact that I was told I would have to pay for return shipping. Worst experience ever! Shame on you Boscov's.

I am so annoyed right now. I loved this store and used to tell people to go here. But after I Bought furniture from BOSCOVS one year ago, when we got our house. Our Catnapper recliner arm broke. My husband went to get up and put pressure on the arm and the wood in the arm broke. I called and 5 days later they came out to see if they could repair it, they couldn't. Was told I would hear from them about a replacement. I Call them back about 3 weeks later since they didn't call back and come to find out they will do nothing about it. It broke outside the manufacturers warranty. Meaning that if it was in an area that was pieced together or had screws, then they would replace it. It didn't so, Its not there problem. They only cover things for 7 days. A $600 recliner doesn't last a year and their reaction is uh . I could understand if it was a cheap model but it wasnt. And we did buy an extended warranty on it . I plea with everyone not to buy furniture from them and please share this everywhere. So mad. MAKE THIS GO VIRAL PLEASE.....

Worst shopping experience ever (& I am experienced). No joke. Customer service is thoroughly unhelpful and rude- whatever your problem, they are sure to tell you it is not their problem. Sadly,in the last week I made the mistake of placing 3 orders. After being overcharged, contacted customer service in an effort to resolve the issue. It took no less than 7 employees and 2+ hours to have the overcharge removed from my bank account. During which I was hung-up on 3 times and told the phone system is designed to disconnect callers on hold after a certain amount of time has elapsed(seemed to be about 10 min. ). When I asked to be connected with a supervisor i was told they are all in meetings, all day and would be for the foreseeable future. When i asked for the names of supervisors on duty, their extensions and hours so that i could leaeve a message explaining the problem I was told that just wasn't done & there was noone else there to help me. At this point I had also only received $10 worth of merchandise from an $850 order-(this was 2 days ago). Yesterday I received 3 packages from Boscov's and only 1 arrived in tact-UPS delivered them along with 3 packages from Macy's which arrived in ship-shape condition. The first box was actually split open at the seams and the merchandise inside was dammaged. Inside there was a pair of shoes-unwrapped- placed on top of lingerie also unwrapped- & the lingerie had pulls in the delicate fabric. This is NOT what I paid for. The second box contained only a pair of shoes. The shoes were in their box, but the lid was open, one shoe has some kindnof debris on the upper and the soles show signs of wear & tear (and only one shoe had the proper packing material). This is not what I consider to be new merchandise in good condition and i doubt anyone else would either. Fortunately I grabbed my camera when I saw the dammaged box on my porch and photographed the boxes and their contentsnfor my records. I emailed Boscov's customer service department as well as their quality control department as soon as i finished documenting this and expressing my displeasure. It has been 24 hours and I have yet to receive any response (this does not surprise me, but I do find it appaling). I am still awaiting (sigh) 6 more shipments of this very unhappy order. Unfortunatly for me, by the time I was aware that Boscov's is a nightmare waste of $$$ & life, my remaining items were too far along the shipment process for me to cancel & get a refund. I thoroughly regret every penny and moment I have wasted on Boscov's & dread having to abay-sit them through the rest of my order. I have 25 years of retail experience myself, including customer service and management - I have dealt with telephone & Internet orders, refunds, exchanges & financial institutions and would not dream of handling things the way Boscov's has- it just is not good business to do so and speads unhappiness & ill-will towards others- ywo things we have too much of in this world. Friends, don't waste your hard earned $$$ or your precious time at Boscov's, there are plenty of other stores out there to choose from & most of them are not trying to rip you off & have excellent customer service

I made an order then received an email explaining there was an extra $65 in shipping. I've never had this issue with any other online retailer. I won't be shopping here again, how can I make purchase decisions if I don't know whether to expect a substantial shipping charge added on later, despite the website advertising free shipping? I can usually give people/companies the benefit of the doubt but this seems very bait and switch to me.

I can't believe the message I received today from boscovs.com customer service. I made a purchase online for 20 1 gallon beverage dispensers. Of course because of the dollar amount the order came with free shipping. I completed the order, paid with a credit card and received an email confirmation of the order. Two days later I receive a phone call from their customer service informing me that they want to charge me additional shipping? Why? Because they have to ship a few units from their store locations?? Wow, talk about poor customer service. I will never be purchasing from them again. Now I have to run out and find new beverage dispensers for a party I am hosting next week. Boscovs.com has horrible customer service. If you need anything in quantity and you need it in a hurry, don't get burned, order somewhere else. How unprofessional!
