leadership explicitly condones retaliatory blacklisting
As an independent vendor, I cannot recommend utilizing this platform for event applications. Following a dispute regarding an application fee, the platform’s dispute process resulted in my data being shared with an event organizer who utilized that information to initiate persistent, non-transactional emails and issue a business blacklist against my company specifically for contacting support. When I escalated these retaliatory practices and the data misuse to the platform's co-founder and management team, the issue was dismissed as "standard correspondence." The platform failed to enforce basic anti-harassment standards or protect vendor security during a formal dispute. Returning a five-dollar fee does not excuse a failure to maintain a secure and compliant marketplace for the small businesses that fund this service. Avoid if you value data privacy and professional platform mediation.

I like to address Natalie's review. She reached out to us to file a complaint that the event organizer refused to give her a full refund after denying her (this was a $5 application fee). We reached out to the event organizer to assist her in addressing this issue. As a platform, we actually don't need to do this, but we are happy to assist when possible. The event organizer refunded her and has decided not to do business with her in the future. This is the event organizer's right, and they can do this for almost any reason. She then followed up with us, stating that the event organizer has engaged in retaliatory blacklisting, unauthorized surveillance, privacy violations, harassment, and data misuse. When we reviewed what she sent us, the event organizer simply followed up with her, stating that he would no longer do business with her and explaining his reasons. We explained to her that this is not retaliatory blacklisting and that we have no idea how responding to her emails could constitute unauthorized surveillance, privacy violations, or data misuse. Since she didn't like our response, she has now given us a 1-star review and claimed we failed to maintain a secure and compliant marketplace. Once you submit an application to the event organizer, they have your contact information - just like if you mail in an application. Not sure how this is considered a data privacy violation.
