I have been a bookkeeper for 38 years, so bookkeeping has always been something I know and love. More Than Just a Bookkeeping Program I have been a part of the Booming Bookkeeping Program for over a year now, and I can honestly say that it has played an important role in helping me build the confidence and knowledge I needed to start my bookkeeping business. I really like how the program is laid out and how much information and training is available, but one of the most valuable parts for me has been the community. The Facebook group is filled with other bookkeepers who are willing to share their experiences, ask questions, and help one another. The coaches are also always there to answer questions—not only about the program, but about situations that come up when working in clients' books. What I appreciate most is that they don't always just give you the answer. Many times, they ask questions that make you stop and think through the situation yourself. As a former educator, I know how valuable that type of learning can be. It has helped me better understand the why behind bookkeeping instead of simply memorizing what to do. When I first started, one of my biggest fears was wondering whether I would know enough when I finally got my first client. Over time, I've learned that I don't have to know every answer. I need a strong foundation, good resources, and a community I can turn to when I encounter something new. After more than a year of learning, practicing, asking LOTS of questions, and building my business, I recently signed my very first bookkeeping client! 🎉 That was a huge milestone for me, and I finally feel ready and confident to put everything I've learned into practice.
