I would not recommend Marketeers…
I would not recommend Marketeers Publishing Group based on my experience. When I first started this process, I knew very little about publishing. I was excited about getting my book out into the world, and I trusted that I was dealing with people who knew the business and would guide me through it honestly and professionally. Looking back, I realize how vulnerable that made me. I did not know what questions to ask, what was normal in the publishing industry, or what I should have been watching for. I trusted the process and trusted the people I was paying to help me. Eventually, I decided to cancel the services. I was told I would receive a refund of approximately $1,300. Since then, getting that money returned has been an exhausting and frustrating experience. I have had to repeatedly follow up about a refund I was already told I would receive. That has been the hardest part for me. It is not only about the money. It is about realizing that I put my trust in a company during a process that was very important and personal to me, and then feeling like I had to fight just to get a promised refund. Publishing a book was something I was proud and excited about. Instead, this experience left me stressed, disappointed, and much more cautious about who I trust with my work. I am sharing this because I wish someone had warned me when I was starting out. If you are a new author, please do your research, read every agreement carefully, ask questions, keep copies of every communication, and make sure you fully understand the refund policy before paying for publishing services. Based on my experience, I would not use Marketeers Publishing Group again.
