BookmarketeersReviews of bookmarketeers.com

I am new to the publishing industry. I originally was signing up to Amazon KPD. I ended up with Bookmarketeers somehow. I thought they were part of Amazon publishing. They are very good talkers they could easily be car salesman. Sebastion Jennifer, Ruby, Michael, and I think the Stacy Morgan name who started this isn't real. I was told how great book was when I started in May 2026 Had to pay $5,000.00 to get book published and in stores by July 1st. I did, then I was told Academic Schools were interested in my book, I just needed to send another $5,000.00 and they are going to partner with me and put up there $5,000.00 When they asked for 2nd $5,000.00 I told them I didn't have that kind of money lying around. That's when things started to get cold. Next I have Ruby from marketing on the phone telling me that Sebastion and Jennifer didn't do a good job of explaining things. Now for another $5,000.00 they can market my book and make all kind of money. I said no and then I stopped hearing from them. I wrote Stacy Morgan head of company and told her the problems. Next I get a call from Michael from her office on Monday and told him everything. He said he was having a meeting with them on Wednesday last week and he will call me on Friday last week. Here it is Wednesday of next. I received an update from Michael of he had personal business. He called and reassured me that I would be hearing from him in regards to book sales and royalties this month. I would like to keep working with them and give them a chance to correct problems we have had with confirmations and receipts. I will give an update next month on progress and hope things work out better. Thank you! Gary Well here it is the end of the month and the stalling game continues. I no longer here from Mike Foster or any of the team. Even Stacey Morgan Head of Book Marketeers doesn't respond. Read the reviews from Chris GM Celeste Theory Gail McDonald Dawn Clark and others and this is what we all have in common. We have been duped. Maybe some people have had success but before you give them any money get confirmations of bookstores get receipts. Go to KPD Amazon first I am on there annd have recieved three royalty checks so far. Book Marketeers has sent no Book store lists given copies of printing 2,000 books or receipts for any transactions.. Go to the BBB first.

I had my book published through Book Marketeers. After it was published, I was told it was good enough to be placed in multiple bookstores if I made an additional investment of $2,500 USD for a consignment program. It’s now been over six months, and I haven’t received any updates about sales or placement. When I contacted the bookstores where I was told my book would be available, none of them had any record of it. Based on my experience, I feel misled and I’m concerned that I may have been scammed. At this point, I don’t know if I’ll ever recover the money I invested. I’m sharing my experience so that anyone considering publishing with Book Marketeers can do their own research, ask detailed questions, and proceed with caution.

My very positive review on Sept. 17, 2025 was sent on by the company and taken from an email response to Daniel. It's true that Bookmarketeers did a good job with the publication of my three books, though there was an error with sizing for one them, which they corrected later, and the promised free copies, which were months in coming. However, the sales and marketing experiences that soon followed were a nightmare, and I should have stopped my relationship with this company immediately following publication! 1. Spent $999 on Ingraham Spark global distribution. Terms not discussed. Royalties ended up being about $1 per book. Dead end. 2. $3,000 spent on Barnes & Noble package--promised ties with 4 cities near me. Nothing was done. Spoke to manager at one of the B&N stores; he knew nothing about it. Fraudulent. 3. Spent $1,197 on new ISBNs for 3 books--told it was mandated by Amazon. I believe it was used by BM to expand presence of my books in wider market. Fraudulent. 4. BM began marketing my books on Abebooks as well as many other sights without discussing royalties with me and never set up my checking account to receive any funds from sales. I called them on all of these fraudulent activities, and they discontinued replying to my emails. They wanted to talk to me by phone. I'm sure that they didn't want me to have a written record of our past conversations.

This company is a vanity publisher. They make many promises, yet live up to not any of them, yet yes, pay more to get....nothing.

Book Marketeers are Indian kids posing as English majors but can't write proper grammar in their own PR pieces. I lost $1500 to dudes with fake names and lines of garbled nonsense. Never sold a book with their pseudo marketing skills.

Do NOT use this company. Book Marketeers is a ripoff. They offer you services for $1500 and don’t follow through on them. I have a lawyer now who is getting my money back. They make nice book BUT keep your profits. They nickel and dime you for everything. Do NOT lose your hard earned money.

They will steal your money. Will not deliver the services you pay for and stop answering your emails. They will change project management over and over in order to avoid offering the services you paid for on time and simply ignore your requests. Very disappointed with them as you can tell.

I’m writing this as a caution to anyone publishing their first book through Book Marketeers or similar agencies. My biggest piece of advice? Hold off on leaving a review until at least six months after your book is published. I made the mistake of leaving a very positive review early in the process, when everything felt exciting and promising. At that point, Daniel had been helpful, and things seemed to be moving smoothly. But I didn’t know what was coming next—and that’s exactly the problem. You're encouraged to post a glowing review while you're still in the early stages, before you've seen any real results. I left mine unknowingly, and I’m now in the process of trying to remove it. After my book was published, things took a turn. I began receiving multiple “opportunities”—claims that bookstores were interested in stocking my book or that there were media interviews available. But every one of these came with a catch: I had to pay. Whether it was funding my own book purchases or covering fees for exposure, it all added up—and led nowhere. It felt like I was constantly being asked to spend more, with little to no return. I realized I was paying for the illusion of success, not results. In the end, I felt misled and disappointed. I was sold a dream that didn’t deliver. If you're new to publishing, please consider doing it yourself through Amazon KDP. Use tools like ChatGPT to assist with formatting, editing, and marketing—there are so many free resources out there that can save you money and stress. Had I known all this from the start, I never would’ve gone through this agency. They took a significant amount from me financially, and it’s a mistake I don’t want others to repeat. Lesson learned.
