I recently purchased a subscription and then decided to request a full refund as per the Terms of Service. Unfortunately, I did not receive a full refund as is the industry standard and fair and reasonable business practice. Further, my credit card company confirmed the fact that refunds are always supposed to be identical to original payments, but were not able to dispute it on my behalf for other reasons. Be forewarned.

Hi Eric, Here is an accurate explanation of what happened with your refund. We issued a full refund in USD on October 20, matching the original payment amount on our end. BookBeam processes all purchases and refunds exclusively in USD, so any differences you see in CAD are created entirely by your bank’s exchange rate or fees at the time of purchase and refund. The discrepancy is a result of your bank’s currency conversion, and this is also the likely reason you were unable to initiate a dispute. The transaction had already been fully refunded on our side, so there was nothing left for your bank or card issuer to reverse. We have shared the refund receipts with you privately for reference.
