I've gone through a list of accent/speaking apps, and Boldvoice's the best one by far.

Great and really helpful application

Bold Voice has helped in working on my global accent. I usually do 5-15 mins of practice daily. It helped me to work on sounds and intonation. The app also guides the movement of tongue, lips and mouth in pronouncing words or sounds. Overall, very helpful app. I would recommend to everyone who is working on his accent.

The cancelling subscription flow was filled with dark patterns. I ended up paying for an extra year as it told me it would remind me 2 weeks before the subscription ended. I didn't receive any message and once I went through the actual cancellation flow I was bombarded with dark patterns. It seems to be part of their business plan to trick people in this way.

Best English app I've ever used. It's made very well, and you learn from actual speech coaches, not just AI. The scoring catches all the little mistakes I didn't know I was making. And it shows you how to move your tongue to make difficult sounds. I've used it for a little over seven months and people have been telling me I sound better!

Charged for another year after I cancelled I am extremely disappointed with BoldVoice’s subscription and billing practices. After using the service for one year, I cancelled my subscription because I did not want it to renew. Despite cancelling, my credit card was charged for another full year of service. I did not knowingly authorize this renewal, and I believe the cancellation and renewal process was misleading. Being charged for an additional year after cancelling feels completely unacceptable. I recommend that anyone considering BoldVoice carefully check the renewal terms, save proof of cancellation, and monitor their credit card statements closely. I am requesting a full refund for the unauthorized renewal charge.

I think it’s one of the best apps for learning. Very rarely I think that an app works be better than an offline tutor but this time I do. The way it recognises your tones and gives you feedback with graphics and practical exercises on how to improve.
