No thank you! The $$ paid wasn't equivalent to the value add.
My mother went to this provider and had great results, however, that was not the case for me. I appreciated the thorough testing, but I didn't receive thorough explanation for things. When I continued to ask follow-up questions, I just felt like we were going in circles with the same response. This felt like she had a cookie cutter protocol: First visit take these creams and pills even though I wasn't experiencing symptoms that would match what she said these items were for. The value paid didn't match the value added or received. I had to pay $200 to join Body Logic. I had to pay $300 for Urine test. I had to pay $200 for labs and then $495 for the consult. Just don't feel I walked away knowing much more about myself, my hormones, my plan, etc than a normal physical would have told me. I have been in healthcare for quite some time. I have studied hormones and understand how they play. I'm not doubting her knowledge, but the presentation and sharing felt very limited from the MD as well as her staff. Felt like the only focus was give me your credit card number, ok come back in 3 months and do it all again. No thank you!

Terrible company
Terrible company. They tell you welcome to the family. I joined the Cleveland group paid my $595. Plus $1100. Blood testing. Had my telemed Dr visit and was told to increase my dosage from prior doctor . When I was close to being out of test just give us a call we will send in your script. I gave them 3 weeks advance call saying I'm almost out. They told me oh we can't prescribe to your state but we'll see what we can do. They didn't call me back at all. I had to call them every day. Now I'm out of test . I called and asked if I could switch to another doctor that could prescribe in my state. Oh sure no problem just pay another $595. For registering and telemed visit. They are very polite though

Dear Dick R,
We apologize for your experience. Our records indicate that the issue was a request to use a pharmacy in a state where the practitioner was not licensed. The practitioner is more than willing to prescribe treatment at a pharmacy where he is licensed to prescribe from. If you are still interested in moving forward with this practitioner, please contact us at [email protected] and we can help set that up for you.

Medication errors go unacknowledged! Scary.
Yes. BodyLogic is way overpriced. My first Rx was $350 (not even a BHRT), and I was only able to use it 3 days. But I knew going in this is a near scam for rich people. I mean I'm sure many people benefit tremendously. I was only trying to feel better for once in years and knew I could only afford this short-term. Four months over $5,000. I do feel better in positive ways. My greatest disappointment is the $$ we pay for "administrative work", and they almost NEVER respond! It didn't bother me too much until the directions on last month's Rx were completely inaccurate. Dr Rubin in Naples, FL and/or APS Pharmacy had me taking DOUBLE my dosage just for the month. I sent emails specifically to the office lady asking if this was correct. No response. I received this month's supply, and the directions are now correct (even though it was a refill not a new Rx with new directions). So this month the dose was half as much. I have repeatedly emailed the Naples office, Body Logic MD as well as APS Pharmacy. No response regarding a medication error THEY made. Wow! Crickets. Medication errors are much more serious than overpriced services! And they all CHOSE to ignore it! I am appalled I must say. This is on the lines of malpractice. I have the Rx bottles that clearly show the huge error. But the doctor, Body Logic MD and the pharmacy are acting as if it never happened. I wonder how much one must pay for a sincere apology. HA! Please explore your options before you sign on! I'm now getting my Rx in a 90 day supply for less than I paid one month! The supplements can be found just as good quality and less expensive. The pill packs were defective two of the three months. When I tried to tear on the perforated line it is difficult and the pack drips open. Pills fall to the ground. Not cool with pets. Do your research folks. I've found sick people and people desperate to feel better are so often taken advantage of.

Good staff bad doctor
I was a patient of Dr Coopers. I’ve given them two stars - 1 for the staff who are awesome! Friendly and helpful, especially the nurse. I also gave one star because the doctor didn’t seem interested in stringing me along as she didn’t feel she could help me. I appreciate that she didn’t want me to waste my money.
I took away three stars for three reasons. First, I was told that a certain medication would not interfere with the testing. This was a lie as the tests are inconclusive when on that medication. Second, Dr Cooper needs to work on her “bedside manner”. I didn’t feel as though my problems mattered to her at all. Maybe she was having a bad day, I don’t know. I felt that the doctor was prejudiced against my specific illness and not as knowledgeable as she claimed to be. I received conflicting information from her from three other doctors in the medical field who specialize in my specific diagnosis. Third, I felt like the costs were extremely high but was mostly bothered by the fact they charge for ordering labs before you even meet the doctor. If I had met the doctor before she ordered the labs, I think both the doctor and I would have agreed to not continue with the treatment. Basically while the staff was great, my overall experience was not good.

Dear Katie,
Thank you for your comment. We are sorry to hear about your experience. Please let me explain our side.
BodyLogicMD is not insurance based, so it operates a little different from a conventional doctor’s office. While you may be able to utilize your insurance for some of the requested lab tests, in most cases, out of pocket fees, do still apply. BodyLogicMD charges a processing fee any time testing is ordered – which is roughly 3-4 times a year. This processing and administration fee covers all of the back office work that is done related to your appointments and treatment. This fee is paid for a few weeks before your consultation when you decide to get started to order testing for upcoming appointments. If you visit a BodyLogicMD practice, you may notice that the in-office staff is much smaller than a traditional medical practice, and that’s because the practitioner has a support team that operates remotely and handles all of the administrative work. Doing this allows the practitioner to spend more time with you and focus entirely on your care, and while some may view this as an extra fee, in reality, it helps keep the consultation fees low compared to other concierge practices.
We are sorry that you felt misled and scammed – that is not our intention. All patients are sent an email upon getting started that outlines the costs that were reviewed. The consultation fee is paid to the practitioner at the time of your appointment and prescriptions costs are paid to the pharmacy or through the Auto-Orders department following that appointment. Prescription costs vary dependent upon your treatment plan.
We are also sorry that you feel disappointed with Dr. Cooper’s bedside manner. Dr. Cooper has served the greater Salt Lake City area as a bioidentical hormone specialist for the better part of a decade, and her patients have always praised her for the level of professionalism and care that she shows them during appointments. Since she is always striving to improve, we will speak with Dr. Cooper to ensure that she continues to provide an exceptional level of care.
Thank you again for your feedback. We do appreciate your kind words for the office staff; they do so much behind the scenes to make sure that Dr. Cooper’s office is running efficiently, and they don’t always receive recognition for that. It is also our understanding that you received a refund for your initial administrative fee. If that is not correct, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we wish you the best of health moving forward.

Serious Concerns with BodyLogicMD ...
We contacted BodyLogicMD (Carmel, IN) because they seemed to have experience for our need. While the costs would be out-of-pocket, we decided to seek the assistance of Dr. Reynolds. This turned out to be a series of red flags, leaving ethical issues at the heart of our experience.
As some have already noted, the manner in which clients are charged is not standard for the industry. Just make sure to watch your bank account for unexpected charges.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST
There seems to be conflict of interest with BodyLogicMD. Dr. Reynolds, upon review of test results, will recommend a series of supplements. These supplements are filled using BodyLogicMD's providers - where BodyLogicMD receives a portion of the sales. This is similar to asking a salesperson from Honda to help me decide between buying a new Honda or a new Toyota.
LONG-TERM REVENUE STREAM OBJECTIVE
As a provider of professional services, I feel the reserved approach by Dr. Reynolds is more focused on building a long-term revenue stream than to provide responsive results to the customer.
She intentionally leaves out aspects of the test results for future visits. In the meantime, she will request additional lab work - adding to the costs/consultation time required. Dr. Reynolds is always leaving the customer to require future visits.
QUICK TO PLACE BLAME
During a session with Dr. Reynolds, she prescribed a product that was to be used for only a short period of time. She was very clear to indicate that the usage would be short-term - with no long-term issues.
We received this product and realized the quantity was not going to be enough for the period Dr. Reynolds recommended. When contacting the vendor, we were informed that short-term use would NOT result in long-term benefits.
Dr. Reynolds, she was quick to state, "well that is not what they told us at the conference." She followed-up to indicate the vendor misunderstood BodyLogicMD's implementation. We tried to get a three way call with the vendor to clarify the situation, but our request was refused.
Clearly, Dr. Reynolds is not researching such products before prescribing them to her patients.
WE HAD TO ASK ... TIME AND AGAIN
While Dr. Reynolds is the expert in the field, we got the point where we were doing our own research and suggesting adjustments to the current treatment plan. We felt like we were leading our treatment plan with a medical professional who was not engaged.
READ THE WARNING LABELS
The final issue for us happened when Dr. Reynolds and her team called in a prescription. Before picking up the prescription we found (3 different sources) that the #1 side effect is the EXACT REASON we were visiting BodyLogicMD. We were shocked to know that BodyLogicMD did not take the time to read the warning label before subscribing the product to their customer.
BE READY FOR CONFRONTATION
Lastly, the office staff at BodyLogicMD appears to function in a disorganized state. When additional labs were ordered, we asked for an approximate cost. The staff member was quick to state that she "had no idea" how much the labs would cost. That she basically "just put the request in the computer."
When we called the Florida office, the staff member was confused on why the Carmel location would not be able to communicate the lab costs.
When pressed for more details or rational explanations for charges/standards/policies, the staff members were quick to react in a negative way - even ending the conversations abruptly or becoming hostile/condescending.
CONCLUSION
My goal in providing this information is to give other customers some insight into our experience with BodyLogicMD. After all, the entire experience is out-of-pocket expenses, which can quickly add up with the rates that are charged and the non-standard charge polices being employed by Dr. Reynolds and the team at BodyLogicMD.

No value add to patients but does add cost
I do not see any value add from BodyLogic at all. I chose my doctor without regard to BodyLogic and would prefer if my doctor were not part of the program. The BodyLogic staff is not helpful but nonetheless adds cost to my medical experience. I do not see why you would think any patient would have something positive to say. At best, the view would be neutral. I assume that BodyLogic performs some services for its doctor network but those benefits do not flow through to patients.

Because BodyLogicMD is not insurance-based and the practitioners are not considered “in network” with insurance, we cannot guarantee insurance coverage because every policy is different and out of network coverage varies between policies.
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your honest review and will look into how we can best meet your needs moving forward. If you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to email us at [email protected].

I used BL for more than 2 years.. never again
I used BL faithfully for more than 2 years. Initially for HRT. Dr was very nice, office staff was very nice. Cost was just too much. No insurance will accept BL. BL kept telling me to buy vitamin and mineral supplements from them at ridiculous prices. I got a Y face renewal and was told it might run around $3500.. the final price AFTER the finish and without my permission ran past 10K. it is now 6 months later and ALL results have evaporated. I will not be going back. I found a new doctor for hormone replacement that is working exactly the same and my insurance covers it with a small and reasonable co-pay. BL has in my opinion, taken advantage of me financially.

Fraud.
Poor communication within the practice. They lie about phone conversations held, deny conversations and will cancel appointments at the last minute even when you have spent exorbitant amounts of money to have labs completed prior to your appointment. Urology lab company they use try to charge exorbitant amounts unless you fight them for the true cost. You will be informed of one cost ($299) but the bill you receive is an excessive amount ($2000 dollars). It took several months to get that fixed. They deny the previous communication of billing issues and appointments. If you have complaints they simply say thank you , we will I activate your account unless you want to return. Really !!! Don’t waste your money or time.
