We understand how frustrating it is when a large portion of the inquiries you receive are suspicious rather than genuine buyer interest. We have systems in place to identify and block suspicious activity, but unfortunately some attempts can still get through. We’re sorry Boat Trader didn’t generate the level of quick interest you were hoping for during the 12 days your listing was active, but we’re glad you were able to sell your boat. After reviewing your listing, we noticed it included three photos and a brief description. While buyer activity can vary, we generally recommend including several high-quality photos and a detailed description with as much information about the boat as possible to help prospective buyers evaluate a listing and generate interest. We appreciate you giving Boat Trader a try and sharing your feedback with us.

We’re sorry for the frustrating experience. Search filters should make it easier to narrow down the boats you’re looking for, so we’d like to look into why results outside of your selected length and price ranges were appearing. If you can share the device you were using and any screenshots of the search results and filters, we can pass those details along to our Product team for review.

Hi Tristan, we’re sorry to hear about your experience. We understand how frustrating it would be to invest in a listing and not receive the buyer interest you expected. We’d like to better understand what happened with the renewal you mentioned. Sellers can turn off auto-renewal directly through their Boat Trader account at any time, and once auto-renewal has been removed, the listing will not renew or be billed for another listing period. Since you mentioned that you canceled but were charged again, we’d like to understand how and when you canceled, or whether you contacted our Customer Service team for assistance. We’ve requested additional information through Trustpilot so we can locate your account, review your listing and billing history, and better understand what happened. If you can provide those details, we’d be happy to take a closer look.
