HATE the auto renewal
HATE the auto renewal; was unaware I would be charged a second time .. will not use again

Thank you for the feedback. We're sorry to hear about your frustration with the auto-renewal process. When a listing is created, it is enrolled in automatic renewal, and that information is disclosed during the sign-up process. We also send reminder emails prior to renewal to help sellers manage their subscriptions. However, auto-renewal can be turned off at any time through your account settings on BoatTrader.com or through the latest version of the Boat Trader app.

Dont waste your money
Customer service is a couple people working from home who could care less. I have not received ONE inquiry. I paid significant money to advertise my boat here instead of free options like marketplace or craigslist. This place is essentially a scam. Dont use them. They responded just now stating that they told me I could "add more photos" for even MORE MONEY! Like, come back to earth Boat Trader, Ive had ZERO Inquiries! Ive had over 30 inquiries from Free Marketing on Facebook! Wake up.

I only received one lead from my ad
I only received one lead from my ad. That’s not a good return on investment; in the past you used to get tons of leads from Boat trader but not anymore. Not sure where the real buyers are shopping, but it doesn’t seem to be on Boat trader.

FB Marketplace generated far more interest
Had 1 inquiry from Boattrader while I had about 15 from Facebook Marketplace. The lone query was if a trailer was also included, otherwise, nothing. Sold it in 1 day on FB Marketplace with 3 potential buyers waiting if the deal didn’t close. Additionally, the site never sent me a password to maintain the account. While it is easier to get more info on a boat into the system, finding your way around is clumsy. BE AWARE - any listing gets put on auto renewal. You MUST call Customer service to take it off auto renewal.

Buyers MUST message Sellers their contact information
Even though Boat Trader ask potential buyers to provide contact information, Boat Trader does not share that information with sellers. Sellers receive messages from potential buyers requesting to be contacted but without contact info provided. If potential buyers aren't familiar with or don't monitor the Boat Trader messenger, they never see responses from sellers requesting contact information. Also, Sellers have the expectation that Boat Trader provides this information so when buyers request the information again, its looks suspicious.

I sold mine through free advertising…
I sold mine through free advertising options. I received several inquires through my super expensive Boat Trader ad but only 1 was legit, all of the rest were SPAM and SCAM messages.

I got all spam replies except one. Wouldn’t waste my money again.

My boat is listed - Can't stand new message notification method!
My boat is listed. Can't stand that I no longer get messages via email. Extremely inconvenient and causes me not to be able to reply promptly to inquiries. I must open the site on both computer and phone and keep them open all the time to keep checking to see if I have an inquiry. Ridiculous. Used to get an email and prompted like other emails. Please fix ASAP so users can also have that option to be notified. Can't stand the process now.
