The Only objective I had is that when selling the first time around and for what you pay you should get a half off discount when you renew if it doesnt sell the first time around. The amount of days for what you pay should be higher. I didnt get a lot of inquiries the first go around but sold within a day of renewing my subscription. Price structure should be discounted more for what you get. Also need to make videos easier to upload and not have to go through you tube just to upload a video. I'm on other sites that make it much easier to upload videos for reselling.

overall pretty good, did have two SPAM encounters and it would help that all parties inquiring about a boat have to have a real name...not a "interested party" name....that was a clear indicator it was SPAM

I love Boat Trader but I find the seach features difficult to use. Please make it easier to run saved searches and also edit those searches.

Yes, at 86 I am looking to get into another sailboat (40' to 48') but this time it has to be on a cooperative basis with others. I have lived on sailboats for over 40 years and had everything from lazers to a NY 32 S&S to a 67' Rhodes motorsailer for a few years before getting into a 44' custom sloop that I lived on & sailed for 30 years in the Atlantic, Med, Caribbean, down Island and over to Guatemala. Have a Daysailer in the back yard. Just love getting "out there" so I try to keep up with what is on the market and enjoy your new format and notices. The pictures (need hull configuration below the waterline) are fine but the owners should be encouraged to provide draft, bridge clearance, beam, water and fuel tankage every time without having to go to Sailboat Data.

sold the boat with Boat Trader. I would highly recommend it. The price seemed a little high, but it worked.

Very easy to set up the ad. Lots of views and within a few weeks the boat was sold for a good price. The only caveat I would offer is that posting your boat for sale on BT attracts scammers who pretend to be interested in your boat but just want to see the "Hull Report." The web address provided will take your credit card info and disappear. This is not the fault of Boat Trader, it's just a fact of life in the internet age. The site itself was first rate and got the boat sold within a reasonable time span.

Boat trader is a nice media for selling and buying boats. Unfortunately, I didn’t sell through boat trader I sold through face book market place…
