This company has been harrasing us for Licensing fees on bands that play in our Lodge. We do not know what they will be playing and Christian Bottorff was rude on the phone and acted like we were doing something wrong. This should not be allowed. As a non profit we do not make money. Our efforts are fundraising and trying to cover operating costs. Shame on BMI!!

Broadcast Music, Inc is a terrible business especially for small business. They are the current mob when it comes to music. The music industry is a dumpster fire. BMI is lighting the fire.

Such a slow, dated service that it makes you want to give up on using it.

I would give zero stars if I could. This company represents everything wrong with the world we live. Spending more money filing lawsuits on beloved local businesses for over a decade over any small infringement they can find. I hope legislation passes I the futures so vultures like BMI can’t continue to horde music rights while contributing next to nothing to artist profits. Horrible company, hope they go out of business

I joined BMI months ago so that I can register my songs, to this day, none have been registered. The track always stays in processing. I have tried calling all of the phone numbers and get a message saying disconnected. After numerous emails I get no response. What a sick joke. But I am supposed to be under contract for 2 years? I will NEVER use these inept people again. EVER

Complete vampires. We hate them. They provide no value, they won't leave you alone, and they pile charges upon charges on your bar. I am happy to pay a license for music but these people are a huge scam shaking every small business to death and you get nothing in return except them telling their ASCAP friends that they found another sucker willing to pay.

One of the most appalling services I've even had to deal with. To cancel your membership you have to send a letter my physical mail within a window of 3-6 months before the renewal date. I did that and my application has been rejected. For god's sake why does a cancellation request has to be rejected? Moreover, there is no transparency about the royalties and no human to talk to. I truly hope artists will stand up and bring this institution to ruin, as it has been sucking the blood out of the music industry

BMI: A symphony of incompetence. My request for a territory exclusion, a simple request, has been treated with the finesse of a drunken rhino on a tightrope. Submitted in 2024, now my plea is scheduled for an execution date in April 2025? I'm out. Goodbye, BMI. Hello, GEMA! A thousand times better in every conceivable way. You're a joke, BMI.
