I have contacted customer service 3 times with no response. I am trying to get gutters installed on my shop and they installed the solar service with the main conduit in the way of the gutters.

13 months from the initial sale…DO NOT USE BLUE RAVEN
It took 13 months from the initial sale to now. It has been the worst experience ever. Finally got solar installed in January and in April had a roof leak caused by the install. It finally got fixed and they said they’d send someone out to repair the texture and paint and would call. NEVER have heard a word. Opened a service ticket and two weeks later they called and asked if I’d take $299 and get it fixed myself. Absolutely not! It would cost way more than that. Told the guy who called I wanted someone out asap to get it fixed. He said someone would call in the next few days to schedule. NOTHING, so I called in at 4:55pm and asked to speak with a manager or supervisor and was told everyone was getting ready to go home! Still no resolution! DO NOT USE BLUE RAVEN, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT. I would not use them or recommend them. Also, real the reviews…something happened in 2024…good reviews then everything tanked. I believe the company was purchased and now things are horrible.

Hi Stacey, we apologize for the delays you experienced during your installation process. The inclusion of a backup battery in your project, along with the required main panel upgrade, extended the timeline beyond our standard expectations due to additional utility and city permitting requirements.
We also regret the lack of consistent communication and follow-up regarding your requested repairs. Please be assured that your feedback has been shared with the appropriate departments to help us improve our internal processes moving forward.
Our Work Orders leadership team has partnered with a local contractor to schedule the necessary repairs. We will continue to coordinate closely with them to ensure the work is completed as promptly as possible and will keep you informed throughout the process. For any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly at [email protected]. -Emma A.

New solar system has not been working for a month
We had our system installed on October 30, 2024. On November 21 it was inspected. The system began collecting kWh on January 10 through January 23. It only worked for 13 days. Then it quit. Blue Raven came on January 30 and said the system needed fuses. They didn't have them on their truck. So we have been calling and calling with no results. Today we talked to someone in Utah. He told us the work team was sick and he didn't know when they could come! They will notify us in 5 days, Friday at 12:30. They don't know if they can send anyone then or not! This is a brand-new system and it doesn't work. After pleading time after time, we cannot get anyone over here to fix it!

Terrible experience
Oh my goodness, I can't even begin to describe the journey we have been through with Blue Raven. It has been the worst experience I have ever been through. In May 2024 a rep came to our door to sell us solar panels and all the information sounded really good so we signed up. They said it would be maybe 9 week total to be completed. We are in December and still nothing. Every time I have spoken with them on the phone I had to be the one to reach out. I have not received a single phone call from them except from them today to tell me the loan expired and we would have to submit another application. Mind you, I called them weeks ago to let them know the application was going to expire soon and they told me not to worry about it.. he said he was keeping an eye on the account and was going to submit an extension before it actually expires. They never did that. I have had to continuously call throughout the months to get the process pushed along. I have had to call to get the permits done, and to get the main panel upgrade scheduled. The panel upgrade never got scheduled though, for months I would call and they would set an "appointment" and then send me a text saying the appointment was canceled because xcel didn't have any openings for that day and they would tell me I would receive a call in 2 days to schedule an appointment. I would call back a week later to see where the process was at, and they would schedule another appointment and it would get canceled again. This went on for months. Finally, they would tell me it would take two weeks to schedule an appointment with xcel and that I would get a call then. When I call back 18 days later, I find out the loan expired but all they need to do is submit the extension. Now 12 days later they call to tell me I need to resubmit the application because the lender needed more information about our mortgage payments/statements. This was just the worst of it. I have had to go back and forth with them on multiple issues and information that wasn't submitted correctly which I don't even know how that happened because I thoroughly went through everything when we signed up and made sure everything was correct. So I'm not sure how information just randomly changed. At one point, they even had the wrong address under our account!! Needless to say we will not be going with Blue Raven and I really wish we could've had an experience like some of the other people had and I hope nobody has to experience what we did. I really wanted this to be a pleasant experience but in the end it was really stressful and we were just let down.

Extremely poor customer service
Extremely poor customer service
Got a cold walk up from a rep for Blue Raven. Oddly he had a temporary badge which I asked about. Didn't really give me an answer why the company hasn't provided a permanent badge just a story about how he was happy it was a temp badge with another very angry homeowner. He told me I wouldn't get a copy of the free report before the review but I would get a copy after the review. And something about it would be good for a year.
Scheduled an appointment for a couple days later. The project manager changed. The guy arrived late, and needed to use my bathroom. I asked about getting a coy off the report, he said he couldn't give it to me. We were going to review it on his phone. When i pressed for the report he again said he couldn't give it to me but that he would make some notes on the yellow pad he had and leave those notes with me. When he quoted me my average monthly kW Irshad it wasn't what I had calculated. When he started to show me the panel design, it wasn't my house. He pulled up another overhead view and asked if that was my house. It was not. I also noticed the address in the file...not mine. So we were done with that visit. Scheduled another appointment for 2 days later. His 1st offer was the 4th of July, I said I had other plans.
The project manager asked via text the morning of the 5th if the trees in the satellite image were still there, he couldn't remember from his visit. Yes they are, and they are one of the specific issues I wanted to discuss because they limit the amount of time there is line-of-sight between my roof and the sun.
Well none of that matters because the project manager NEVER SHOWED UP! Makes my decision easy to not pursue solar panels on my house.
Glad they admitted the first assessment was for the wrong address.
And it's great that they concluded solar panels aren't suitable for my house AND canceled the appointment. This would have been great information to share with me. Instead I rushed home for my 2nd appointment for no reason.
Nothing in their response changes my one star assessment based on poor customer service in my case

Hi Karen, during the initial appointment, our sales representatives visit your home to gather usage information and other necessary details to create an accurate quote. Unfortunately, the initial quote was generated for the wrong property. As a result, our proposals team had to develop a new quote with revised figures.
After completing the preliminary design for your home, it was determined that the shading from the surrounding trees would significantly reduce the efficiency of solar panels. Consequently, the second appointment with your sales representative was canceled.
We apologize for the lack of communication regarding this cancellation. We have provided the necessary feedback to prevent such oversights in the future.

They updated my electrical box for the…
They updated my electrical box for the solar panel install. The electrician under size range breaker and was called out by inspector. They have sent an electrician out twice to replace this breaker, and both times, no work was completed. I also have a 240v air compressor circuit that has each leg wired to 2 completely separate breakers on different ends of the main panel as this is not a functioning 240v circuit and yet an electrician shows up and reports no work needed to be done. Everything about their response is wrong. For starters, after each electrician visit, there has never been an email stating why no work has been done and won't be able to provide proof of emails sent. 2nd, as an incompetent company, they refused to address the issue verbally they wired my 240v circuit for the air compressor wrong. Their electrician stated they can run new wire to our stove or replace or oven with a 30 amp stove. This is a company that can't honor what their employees are promising and need to get the hell out the way so honorable companies can do right by their customers paying $78k for a job. This place is clearly ran by someone with zero integrity as I have received responses that are flat out lies
Response from Blue Raven SolarApr 25, 2024
Hi Randy, Blue Raven Solar strives to ensure that all of our work adheres to the city's building codes. This commitment extends to our solar system installations and any necessary upgrades. During the upgrade of your main panel, our electrician discovered that a 40-amp breaker was connected to a 10-gauge wire, prior to the solar installation, which is a configuration that does not comply with the electrical code and could potentially pose a fire hazard. We promptly rectified this issue by replacing the breaker with a 30-amp breaker, bringing it into compliance with code requirements.
When the inspector inquired about the breaker switch, it was to understand the reason for the change, not because it was deemed necessary to be fixed. Therefore, the installation still passed inspection. Though there were visits to your home, they were to diagnose your concerns to create proper plans to move forward. After further investigation by our master electrician, it was found that no further work needed to be done as everything was done according to code. Work Order management team has communicated all these changes via email. -Brenden B.

Took them over 1yr 2mo to install the Solar Panels. Then an additional 6 months to get them operational. Said that during 1st Year I would get a Check for $188 a Month, which did not happen. Now they want me to start making payments
Response from Blue Raven SolarJan 19, 2024
Hi Kirk, We acknowledge that your project took longer than we are accustomed to. However, as part of your project, you requested a battery to be installed. Due to the accessibility of batteries at the time, your project was delayed while we worked to get plans created for the battery installation, alongside permits and interconnection applications approved. Eventually, to move the project forward, we decided to pursue a battery installation at a later time.
According to the documentation you signed, you chose the most financially beneficial option available. It should also be noted that you have been reimbursed for any financing payments you may have had to make while waiting for your solar system to be operational. We have also reached out to you directly through email to address your concerns. -Brenden B.

Don’t refer friends or family
Solar is great but use a different company. The sales team will lie and continue to lie just to get referrals from you. They talk about this great program then won’t pay you what he said they would.
