I purchased 3 nights, $250, a great deal but the pandemic hit and delayed. I planned to book and perfect timing my wife and stepson became Canadians and they needed a passport. I called to move the week ahead and they wanted to charge me $50. Delays happened and I called again and said I wouldn't be able to make the dates. They wanted $125 to cancel, they didn't care about my situation. Almost 4 years after I purchased it is now cost me $400 and they are only going to give me $250 in credit cards. Imagen how they treat their members. Rental discount added fees and penalties. Cheaper on booking.com. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH BLUEGREEN VACATIONS

20+yr owner
I have owned bluegreen timeshare for over 25 years, and for 20 years it was pretty great. It had its ups and downs, but what doesn’t. However, for the past 5 years and especially since this Hilton buyout stuff, it’s been absolutely horrible. There is NO customer service. Everyone is snide and rude. They lie to you to your face. They make promises they hope you forget and will agree with you that they told you that but then dismiss it as well, things change. They offer half off point promotions but then when you put the code in - it won’t take it and even though you can show then that you tried this multiple times through canceled and rebooked reservations on the same day back to back trying to get it to work- they don’t care. They won’t fix it, you can chat, call, and email corporate offices. You won’t get a reaponse. Even after screenshotting the rude and improper responses from their staff. They refuse to let you speak to management (because they know they’re wrong). I actually spend 45 minutes listening to some guy give me a lecture about how to call in and do this in the future- buddy, I want to know what you’re going to do to fix it now. We came anyway- even though I lost on the point promotion. Mainly because I already had other plans booked and hated to disappoint my family. We had a nice time in spite of the hateful bluegreen vulture/salespeople who refuse to leave you alone while you’re on vacation. Finally agreed yo go to their “owner update”, the gentleman we spoke with was new and seemed nice but very naive about the ways of bluegreen, but if this is how Hilton is going to run things I just want out. FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO KNOW - don’t listen to them. Its a trap. It’s an expensive money trap. You can afford to go to the places you want to go without this- the “maintenance fees” are crazy high and go up every year!! For what we pay in maintenance fees now (wasn’t always this way) - we could take our family to Disney and stay on property with a meal plan for almost a week every year- just giving you perspective. These fees never end- regardless of whether or not you owe on your timeshare or not. They promised us, and I think it’s in my original contracts that my bonus time would never go up/ but yet here are… I’m just over it.

Not worth it no matter the price
Although my guest and I's time were not valued when we attended the preview, there were a lot of elements that came together to make us never want to consider Bluegreen Vacations as well.
When we arrived at the resort, we were told to go to the second location for our hotel stay and signed up for our preview to be on that Sunday at 9AM. We were not given a ride to the hotel and instead had to pay for an Uber. This would have been a wonderful opportunity for Bluegreen to have treated us with more value. Anyhow, we were placed in the Tropicana in Las Vegas, which was severely lacking. While we were at the hotel, we found out it was to be demolished in, at that time, in three weeks, and it seemed like the lack of available staff to provide standard housekeeping and the severely dated hotel environment supported that statement. It makes it feel like my guest and I were purposely put up in horrible accommodations and that any vacation booked would have us deal with similar hotel rooms.
When booking my preview, we were ensured that the presentation would only be for 90 minutes. The day of the presentation, why was it that we were trapped there for 6.5 hours? It took a large chunk of our vacation day and we were famished the whole time thinking we would have had time to eat at one of the wonderful restaurants in Las Vegas for brunch after the preview. Although our sales representative offered to buy us pizza, we kept on stating we were about to be finished with the preview shortly, correct, so why would we eat Papa John's?
Also, I have a problem with whoever typecast my guest and I into thinking our sales representative was a good fit for us. His was a bit unkempt and used a vernacular belonging to a lower income class with minimum education. He kept insinuating, it would seem at least, that because my guest and I were black, we did not travel. He told rhetorical metaphors implying I would go to jail, acted surprised when I told him we have both already traveled outside the country, and implied we were in a "broke person mindset" for even staying in the Tropicana when we complained about the accommodations. He specifically stated that when rich people don't like a place, they leave, and we didn't do that. That seems ridiculous because we didn't make the accommodations to begin with.
Although I have plenty more to say about the preview, including how we were fed a bunch of false information in order for them to just get the deposit, only for every thing we were promised being rectified when we talked to the quality assurance agent, I feel like it would be a novel if I tried to say it all in this email. I would never recommend the Bluegreen Vacations package to anybody and have actively warned all my friends and family against it.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Unacceptable Treatment During Bluegreen Vacations Timeshare Tour on 1/30/2024
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the recent experience my family had during a timeshare tour with Bluegreen Vacations on January 30, 2024. This experience was supposed to be a special outing for us as it coincided with my son's 4th birthday, but instead, it turned into a nightmare due to the appalling treatment we received.
From the very beginning, the atmosphere was hostile and unwelcoming. My biracial son and I were put in a situation that made me uncomfortable. The presentation was conducted by an individual named Chad, who exhibited racist and bigoted behavior with insensitive comments that were completely unacceptable. Chad's derogatory remarks and lack of professionalism were deeply disturbing and offensive.
Despite our initial discomfort and desire to leave, we were unfortunately persuaded by Farid, who promised to address our concerns with upper management. However, this turned out to be a blatant lie, as our wishes and objections were continuously disregarded. We repeatedly emphasized that it was my son's birthday and that we wanted to enjoy the day at the parks, but our requests fell on deaf ears.
Farid's pushy and manipulative tactics, including pressuring us for a $2500 check to join the program and nickel-and-diming us, only added to the distress of the situation. His dismissive attitude towards our priorities and his gaslighting behavior were completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
After enduring over 5 hours of stress, anxiety, and exhaustion, we were ultimately coerced into making a payment of $450 just to escape the distressing environment created by Bluegreen Vacations representatives. This entire experience left us feeling disrespected, exploited, and deeply disappointed.
I demand a formal apology from Bluegreen Vacations for the mistreatment and emotional distress inflicted upon my family. It is imperative that Bluegreen Vacations takes immediate action to address the unprofessional conduct of its employees and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.
I trust that you will investigate this matter thoroughly and take the necessary steps to rectify the situation promptly.
Sincerely,
Natasha N Lockhart, LPC, CTMH, CCATP

I wish that I could give a -10 score
I wish that I could give a -10 score. They lure to their presentation, lie about the gifts, and there is no honest customer service. Steer clear of this company.

Better hope you're a high-tier buyer or…
Better hope you're a high-tier buyer or owner. 1st , Wanted to put us in a motel 8 for our buyer orientation. Not the 1st one as potential buyers. The one after you buy where they train you. Had to push for something nicer. They finally did for a fee of course. When we came for owner orientation both the trainer and the sales person. Were super friendly,we were supposed to see a cabin once orientation was finished with our trainer. as soon as they decided we weren't purchasing more points, we were treated entirely differently. I had asked the sales person one last question about a depost so we could decide yes or no to add more points and i guess the answer was no and thats when they must have decided we weren't buyers for us. She didn't even come back. She sent the trainer in to show us out. He was very short with us at that point. I'm sure people buying in at higher tiers have a better experience but not us at our teir.
