Bloomberg Exam PrepReviews of bloombergprep.com

I recently passed my CFA level 3 and became a CFA charterholder. As part of the scholarship program, advertised when I signed up, they agreed to reimburse any fees once my level 3 exam was passed. I submitted the refund form and never heard back from them. Avoid at all costs!! This is not to mention that the quality of the content is quite poor/mediocre (had to revert back to the CFA course).

Scholarship scam: They no longer list the “scholarship” on their website but… You pay a $450 deposit to “apply” for a “scholarship” They ask for additional details to “review your eligibility” But they auto approve you regardless if you respond or not, Contradict their own terms of service (which are also no longer in their website) Refuse to issue refunds in accordance with their own terms of service, Did not deliver any product or service in my specific case. The marketing is incredibly misleading. It isn’t a scholarship, it’s clearly a discounted program. Which is fine but… Advertise it that way. If that’s what it is. And once again the kicker is… I didn’t recieve anything at all from them. No course access or materials. Nothing. Avoid.

I can say that the system clearly explains the fundamental concepts in a unique way: they will give you some stories, examples and ask you whether you understand or not before drilling into samples of exam questions on particular topic. Recently they migrated to a new domain called Bloom Prep (a.k.a. BPrep) for unknown reasons, maybe to distinguish themselves from Bloomberg main business? IDK, but the point is, as a premium user, I've lost my progress during the migration. Imagine that you've been done drilling concepts, tons of reviews, just lost within days, caused by the migration?! That's nonsense. Imagine that you have to revisit those materials to catch-up while the clock towards your exam is ticking!!

I'm a financial professional with family, while most of knowledge for level 3 are comes from my work, this CFA prep help me organize the knowledge and leverage the fragment time, and showing which part is my weakness as well.

I feel that the scholarship programme is a scam. The materials are all over the place and quite hard to follow due to the topics being shifted all the time by the computer system. The worst is no one explained to you that the premium programme that I signed up actually expired in 12 months and no one told you that when you signed up. I was told when I signed up that you could get the refund if you show them your registration with CFA in 5 years. But you actually have to pay to extend the materials. Premium only for 12 months. I had another exam in August 2025 so I could not do much studying. I just finished my other exam in August. But I could not revise on Bloomberg prep caused I have been logged out stating expired programme. Then tried to get help but hard to get to costumer service. My only way is to write the review to see whether I could get any reply from them to get an extension and to get clarification. I thought scholarships meant it should be free and there should not be hidden fees to extend every 12 months. I already paid almost 500 pounds for deposit.

Thank you for helping me pass my CFA Level 3 exam! I tried the usual other exam preps and failed mostly because I ran out of time, so I was really trying to find something that suited my learning- and life styles. The interactive nature of the program helped me recognize blind spots so I could spend more time fixing those. In the end I had enough time for mock exams which proved critical. On actual exam days the questions felt close to practice, no surprises. On customer service, my questions were responded to quickly, within a few hours. I did not use the other services.

I used to trust the brandname of Bloomberg as a source of reliable material. What a disappointment when I tried the free trial for the exam prep (CFA II). The platform has a very appealing design and is very user-friendly. And that's about the only (non essentiel) quality of the website. The content is not in line with the official CFA program, the questions are definitely not in the adequate format (no vignette). You have to complete several modules to unlock other ones, so there's no use if you just want to review a particular chapter/section. There's no QBank that let you design your desired set of questions. The mock exams is not available during the free trial (very misleading). There's no ask-a-tutor question (misleading again). No live sessions. No download. When I realized the platform was a complete waste, I decided to cancel the subscription. Yet I didn't receive a confirmation for the cancellation, nor any reply from the support. Scared my account would be withdrawn from the amount, I had to close my bank account. No wonder they try to trick people with the scholarship.

I have started using the Bloomberg Exam Prep in January 2024. The purpose was to prepare for my second attempt to CFA Level 1. I have failed my first attempt and was quite disheartened to continue studying. It is very hard not to give up at this stage. My friend has told me that he used the Bloomberg Exam Prep and that has helped him a lot during his study – I decided to give it a go and applied for the 1 week free trial version. The first thing that positively surprised me is the interactive nature of the studying process. It helped to overcome the shock after the failure, buckle up and get on with the studying. The interactive nature of the application would be one of the main strengths of Bloomberg Exam Prep – it allows you to prepare in the exam prep in different situations; grabbing a morning coffee, during lunch, before going to sleep, waking up, brushing your teeth – the system is built in a way that you can study in various circumstances. Being a full time employee in Finance industry - this is extremely helpful, because its hard to carve out free time during working day/week. “Ask a tutor” feature was quite helpful as well. The answers they provide are usually accurate and help you tackle the topic. However sometime it felt that answers were “template like” and it did not really answer the question you had – in these cases though they were kind enough to give you back the question credit. Currently I have just finished going over the material and have around 2.5-3 months before the actual exam. There are many mock exams that allow me to prepare. Its very useful, because the gap between the exercises and the actual exam question is huge and it can be demotivating. However having 9 mock exams to work with should put me in a good shape. Intrigued to try a “Live session” with the tutor in the remaining. Time. ***Bloomberg Exam Prep has asked me to write the review offering the free upgrade of my current Bloomberg Exam Prep plan, but this is no way influenced the content of my review Rafael Khachaturyants Rafael Khachaturyants | LinkedIn
