Banned for writing **** Turkish in a thread about Turkish people review bombing a show for mentioning the Turkish Genocide of Armenian people. Won't unban, glad to see it's a poorly run company with no proper ban/appeal process when the website had illegal subreddits on it for years before finally getting pressured to remove them.

I have been having issues with the site Admins for quite some time. I find myself being reported to the admin team by highly abusive posters quite frequently. The issue appears to be that admins are not reading reports and just guessing or are reading reports that cannot possibly have enough info to make a determination and are … guessing. The result? Absurdity. Example. Having someone mindlessly troll you, attack your military service, and telling that person impolitely to bugger off and blocking them. That person then reports the comment and Reddit admins determined both that the guy was the victim being harassed and that this was hate speech. Why? No one knows. The random admin never explains and no method of appeal even gets a response. Conversely, reporting even vicious attacks? Reporting solicitation for prostitution, clearly violating Reddit’s content policy? Nope, all good. Confused? You are not alone. The process is so opaque that more and more abusive users are are abusing it to attack other users. The very thing the admins are there ti stop (a situation that actually led to the admins ostensibly being there in the first place). As this kept happening, and I could get exactly zero responses I messaged he CEO. He did not respond. An admin did, saying they got it … but left the penalty in place … without explanation. Happened again. Nothing. Not from CEO or admins. Happened again, this time from a forum moderator. Apparently, accusing Russians of absurdly evil crimes is fine. Apparently, all Russians are evil and therefore they are committing absurdly evil crimes … just being Russian is enough to prove guilt! Yikes. Hate speech right? Nope. The reasons, “Russia is not the good guys here but the guys ordering the war and the guys fighting it are not the same thing. The Russians are not systemically murdering kids in a genocidal campaign to ride Ukraine of all its children. This is absurd. Right Hate Speech? To be clear, this came repeated from the forum moderator, behavior that clearly violates Reddit rules on Hate Speech. I know about this allegation because it was relayed through … you guessed it! The Admin team along with a suspension for Hate Speech. The Admin Team refuses to respond or explain. The CEO is just as silent. When moderators are abusing users and abusing this opaque and unaccountable reporting system … what do you do? It’s easy to ban users and ignore it. Eventually, as similar abuses did, it will break the forum. This should be easy, correct? A moderator is actively encouraging people not just to be critical of Russia in a forum dedicated to its discussion, but is encouraging people to attack those not deemed absurdly loyal enough to bat crap crazy statements. He’s then making the same statements and filing absurdly false allegations to justify his abuse. This is a case tailor made for admins. They gave me the allegation. I provided the moderator threats, insults, and false allegations with proof of their inaccuracy all linked. Easy right? Nope. Whatever is driving this is not evidence or reason. So long as that remains the case, absurdes will once again continue to hijack the system and random users will be abused by disinterested proxy. Reddit CEO knows. Not a thing. Not one thing. We care about abuse so much that we have turned the guys responsible for it into facilitators of it. Who it strikes? Anyone who disagrees with the wrong person apparently. Great stuff! Communicating with these guys is less productive than talking to the IRS.

Not a free speech site and they can shut down your account without valid reasons. If you're an active replier they shut down your account even if you've said nothing to offend or be against account rules. I'm lucky if I can get more than 3 months out of one account. It takes so little to offend people. The whole up vote and down vote system needs to go. Reddit didn't use to have it but now they do. This can really muck up an account quickly. Some threads = instant ban on reddit for even just replying to them or posting on them. This shouldn't be. Reddit is there for public use not for private company or city use. Mods on sites have too much power and can ban people for excessive posting or even just one reply. The mods on my work thread allow a bunch of b.s. to be said but if you so much support company values or management they ban you like that. Mean while you have posts of customers picking fights with employees and vise versa, people harassing each other and customers bit-ching about this or that in a rude tone. During covid I got addicted to reddit and I'm trying to find other things to replace it with. The problem is it's difficult to break a habit you created over 2+ years and it takes but typing the letter r in your browser to take you there. Reddit's bbb review is literally an F- and I can see why. The whole website should be shut down. I had to change my router ip because they banned it. Not my fault you jack @$$es keep making me go through accounts. My replies are very civil and should not yield banning but they do.

I thought that Reddit going to be great tool for resources where I can dig for true, learn new things and also share my knowledge and experience. Reddit is absolutely full of lying individuals, absolutely toxic, hatred received by ignorant kids when answering some people trying to help, and admins in so called communities they are corrupted to the bones with crypto promoting products, corporations if not money then just spreading the lies and banning people for digging for the truth. Absolutely waste of time, I would call it Red-deed and should be redstar in the logo. This service is a guardian of the most trendy opinions nothing with the truth, how it works is absolutely like in the worts totalitarian systems north Korea, Stalin Russia in nutshell. Moods at most disgusting people on this earth, biased, bossy with ignorant approach. Toxicity, hatred, moderated topic to promote products or hide the truth. Gatekeepers, guardians for toxic people. Keep yourself self away from this place and guard your kids because violence, porn and disgusting content is just normalised there. Waste if time. It should be off permanently.

Reddit claims they want to improve things. Their idea of doing so? To restrict control of potential common interests to scumbag moderators like XenesisXenon with a "first come, first serve" system. You better hope that said moderators will not accuse you of harassment, hypocritically at that, while letting racists like Gippy run around claiming "diversity for its own sake" of a game that has no reason to mention skin color in the first place, or they WILL ban you from talking about a game series you have interest in. You're not getting around this by creating alternative "subreddits" either, because the Reddit admins will ban those with no warning OR explanation. Equally problematic is when Reddit believes in power to the TYRANNY OF the people, particularly aggravated by a voting system where if you get hit by downvote bombing because people are defensive from your paragraphs that are warranted by THEM being nasty, you lose access to being able to post multiple messages in a given timeframe, preventing any terse or improvised posting or the ability to respond to every post in an acceptably timely manner. Reddit, quite simply, acts in bad faith in interest of supporting the mob. Couple that with how the general content is BORING and you're not losing much of value there. Reddit has had many chances to shape up and it's just not going to do that whatsoever.
