It started out with good intentions, but—like everything from Silicon Valley—it has turned into a totalitarian nightmare regarding moderation, especially since the introduction of AI and profit-seeking with total disregard for users—where costs are always externalized, gains are privatized, and losses are socialized. Yet, strangely enough (or perhaps not, given that it drives traffic and ad revenue—it’s all about profit, after all), it's an heaven for hate, it allows certain things to slide. It blocks all anonymous VIEWING access (even though the content is PUBLIC) if there is the slightest suspicion regarding an IP address, browser fingerprint, or device. It now blocks access to "old.reddit" for non-logged-in users (claiming it is for statistical purposes to decide whether to keep that simple, resource-light interface). It abuses the concept of "Karma" to play "perfect God," and uses it to control access to subreddits. Reddit is the king of censorship and arbitrary bans, all while blocking any form of appeal or recourse!

Dear Reddit Support Team, I am writing to appeal the recent restriction on my account. This ban is completely absurd and represents a clear false positive by your automated system. It seems the platform’s AI has become so overly sensitive that it can no longer distinguish a harmless joke or lighthearted sarcasm from actual malice. Penalizing users instantly for basic humor feels like an abuse of automated power and ruins the user experience. Real people use humor to communicate, and banning accounts over harmless jokes is completely disproportionate. I did not spread hate speech. I request that a human moderator with a proper understanding of context and humor reviews my comment and lifts this unfair ban.

The Australian subs like r/AskAnAustralian are truly horrible. They're extreme left-wing, very nasty and very few people are well-informed. It's just lots of abuse and bigotry. If you have even the slightest disagreement with people on them, you're banned. People tell you to stop using particular words that don't suit their ideology. They're obsessed with running down Australia and finding racism where it doesn't exist. Lots of really horrible comments about men. (I'm a woman). It looks like there's mass reporting & mass downvotes if you disagree with people. I got the impression bots were being used and there's no attempt to stop that. I stumbled on Reddit because a game I play uses it. I think I'll quit the game so I'm not exposed to it anymore.

Porn is available free on reddit posted by others. I went to post rythmik f18 metal sound issue and I wasn't allowed to post. Website isn't good.

Reddit is the most censored place on the Internet. My wife was banned from the group she created and I have been suspended without any reason given.

My comments can never reach public access. I can type everything, but my comment is located so low so it's never visible for everyone, any not visible on Internet. It has overprotective filters and censorship, low-popularity users muted, richer users spread words freely. Most of my comments got score stuck at 1, or go down to 0 or either -1 or very low numbers. Any post that not fits rules will end with hostile behavior, or taken down by moderators and bots. Anything you type you will be scrubbed, silenced, muted, never visible to public like never happened. Your profile will look like private rather than public, stuck with nothing and with 1 rating. Don't even register to worst disordered community ever made on Internet.
