Purchased the camera system from Costco. This issue is you MUST purchase their SaaS subscription. During trial period the cameras will function great, then when the trial is over; the whole camera system shuts down and becomes a brick. The only function left working is the 'notification' badge, but no picture, no recording. I expected the AI portion to stop (identifying the activity, etc); however, I did not read the size 4 font stating that you have useless equipment unless you continue to pay a yearly subscription fee. So, while you think you are spending $100 for a camera system on sale; you are actually needing to continue to pay ~$120 per year going forward.

This is a one year waiting review. Bought 5 battery cameras, 2 indoor cameras, a doorbell, and a sync module. Installation was easy. What i have learned over this last year is, customer service is poor or non-existent. It took multiple calls, emails, and threatening to take product back to store before my bad sync module was resolved. Once I got the new sync module, I purchased a blink local storage kit to store clips instead of having to use the cloud service, which doesn’t display most of the time I accessed it. Everything worked ok for a few months, but we would have to reload the storage drive every time there was a power flash, even using a surge/backup ups. For the last three months, none of my local clips work. I have to reload the storage device multiple times a day and blink does not have remote reset capabilities on their sync module. Whenever I am out of town or away from the house, I only have live feed and nothing else. After contacting customer no support, I have determined this was a waste of money and I am looking into other solutions. My advice, do not buy this product.

DO NOT BUY. It is ridiculous that you have to pay extra for a basic feature (needing to look back at the saved clips). When I get a motion notification and the person has left the camera view, I can’t open the saved clip of that moment. This is extremely frustrating because a camera should have this as a basic feature. I was told by support that I’m gonna have to pay the subscription or spend more money on their products and buy a new sync module that stores these clips. Completely and utterly useless. Save your money and do not buy from Blink.

Don't get blink or pay for a subscription its a waste of money There is a delay in notifications. By the time I get a notification that someone is at the front door the person has already gone.

Blink is unconcerned about environmental friendliness and willing to let brand new, perfectly good product go to the landfill to maximize their own greedy profits. Here’s what I mean: I own two complete systems with no issues. I bought a third system from a reputable (large) retailer on eBay. It was “open box”, but clearly brand new. Complete system cameras still had plastic on the front, screws sealed in factory bagging, batteries sealed in factory plastic. However, when I went to install them, it reported that the cameras are already associated with someone else’s account so I couldn’t use them. I respect the anti-theft reason why such associations exist. No problem with that. But I was certain that after a discussion with Blink, exchange of receipts, photographs, etc., they would recognize the legitimacy of my purchase and allow these products to have their natural life. No such luck. After admitting that they could help me if I had bought it through a retailer that they approved of, they refused to help me. They know two basic truths: (1) that no consumer knows who is and isn’t their approved retailer and (2) that no consumer knows that they have to decommission a product from their account before selling it. In essence, their goal is to prevent their equipment from having a second life, third life, etc. instead enjoying the idea that perfectly good product goes to the landfill never used in some cases and they get to sell more product. Disappointing.

Definitely switching to ring camera!! Customer service doesn’t help I’ve been on the phone about the same problem for months and my camera is still acting up! Got hung up on by 2 customer service agents because they were convinced my camera was okay as I’m physically sitting in front of it watching it not work. Had the front door camera for a year only worked for 6 months! Just get the ring camera!!!

Pessimo acquisto, soldi buttati Blink doorbell+ sync module, dispositivo dichiarato ip65 quando piove non vedi più nulla per giorni, su sync module registra una volta su 99, svariati errori sulla memoria, assistenza più che pessima, state alla larga non acquistate nessuno di questi dispositivi, 1 stella è il minimo ma non meritata, mai più!
