BlinkReviews of blinkforhome.com

Absolutely terrible the battery life is abysmal and you’re having to pay every year for them not to work so you can watch nothing because you’re constantly changing the batteries. I would never recommend these cameras. Find something more reliable folks.

Moved house and thought we would upgrade our doorbell camera that we bought 2nd hand. Our old one was the 360 brand and was easy to set up and the app worked well. Being naive, I assumed all of the doorbell cameras are like this. We bought a bundle for a good price and got a doorbell camera and a wired indoor camera so we could keep an eye on our puppy when we are out. The wired camera seems to work fine but the doorbell camera is horrendous! It literally works when it wants to. I have spent ages connecting and then reconnecting when it decides to have a hissy fit. No rhyme or reason as to why it might stop working. I cannot get the live view for love nor money, even though it was working on when I first set it up. Takes ages to notify me of motion detected. I tried the blink chat but didn’t get anywhere and after reading these reviews I don’t even want to try talking to customer services. Absolutely useless and I will be reverting back to my old trusty one. I hate the waste of money but it’s annoying me so much!

Katastrophe, Kundendienst kann angeblich e Mail Anhang nicht öffnen um Konto und Kameras eines Verstorbenen zurück zu setzen. Vier Kameras nicht weiter nutzbar. Absolute Sauerei!

My doorbells take forever to notify me, sometimes taking as long as 1/2 an hour. I have tried all the solutions recommended by Blink but no change. I have a good WiFi connection, and good battery strength, yet it still takes forever to notify me on my phone or my camera.

L'assistenza dopo qualche messaggio smette completamente di rispondere lasciandomi con il prodotto mal funzionante e senza possibilità di far valere la garanzia

Blink cameras are inexpensive to purchase which I have to say was what drew me to them in the first place. I really wish I hadn't. You get what you pay for and this most certainly is the case with blink. Although in the main the blink cameras I have around my home both inside and out have worked, however they all regularly fail and need either resetting or deleting from the system and reinstalling. But what is worse than any of that is blink Customer Service. Evasive, rude and unhelpful are just some of the words to describe them. I do have more descriptive words I could use but they wouldn't be allowed on this forum. I don't know how but the rubber cover for the USB slot on the back of one of my outdoor cameras went missing, I guess blown of in high wind. I contacted blink Customer Service who initially tried telling me they were technical service not Customer Service. Then they told me I should go back to Amazon off whom I'd purchased my cameras. Blink is a subsidiary of Amazon and guess what Amazon directed me to blink Customer Service. Then they sent me a back plate for my camera but without the rubber cover for the USB slot. When I contacted them again I was told my outdoor camera didn't need the rubber cover for the USB slot. Blink outdoor cameras have a waterproof rating of IP67 so it will work outside in all weather, and if they rubber cover wasn't needed to maintain that rating why are they made with them in the beginning. After many more emails back and forth eventually I was sent another back plate again without the necessary rubber USB cover. I now have an outdoor blink camera that I can't use as intended i.e outdoors. Over 30 emails and still blink Customer Service failed. I'm now in the process of replacing all my cameras with a decent brand and decent customer service of which blink is certainly not. Pay a little more and stay away from blink

Two year batteries lasted less than a year. Customer service was a joke. I needed to reset my password, got an error code. Called in and the woman who helped me sent me an email with instructions on how to reset my password, which I told her I had already followed multiple times. She said to try it again and then call back and another agent could find another alternative. I confirmed that she could not give me the alternative option, that I would literally have to hang up with her and call back with the exact same issue. She said that was correct. Buying a different system is going to be less of a headache than dealing with Blink.

“Technical support” yet 2 of the operators I spoke to have no idea how to fix the issues. If you’re ringing for some technical help from the so called experts, you would have definitely done the usual fault finding diagnostics yourself (changed the batteries, turned it off and on again, re-installed the doorbell to your account). You wouldn’t think that the technical help would need to tell you to do all of that. Ended up feeling very frustrated and left to try and figure out the issue for myself. Or alternatively just leave it not working which is a better option than consulting the “technical help” team.
