We are shocked at any good reviews of this company. I almost think it is boosted by some questionable 5 star reviews after having read the 1 star reviews that sound similar to ours. We are in our 60's and have moved due to my husbands profession at least five times in last ten years and have experienced much from moving companies. We have had our posessions held in trucks unless we payed 15,000$ more, to this experience of not receiving our four post bed, framed floor length mirror and antique multi-drawered chest. The broken 55 inch TV, and many other broken frames, glass, crystal and china plus the mover took our 6 foot fiberglass werner ladder. We received someone elses antique grandfather clock, which we returned and other boxes filled with someone else's personal items. It has been nothing but a negative experience and now quite frankly, not worth any further negativity or effort for resolve of this issue. I am sure this is what moving companies rely on. This is through much experience of moving 16 times in our lifetime not just once. Thank god our next move will be to the crematorium! So, we hold Safe Ship Moving of Florida and Blackstone Movers of NJ responsible for the worst of our moves . Between them we payed 16,000 dollars for one truck! At least the company who made us pay more after supposed agreed price had all our furniture and did not damage a thing.
SO OUR ADVICE FOR ANYONE MOVING IS TO HIRE A TRUCKDRIVER AND PAY YOUR OWN PRIVATE HELPERS
TO LOAD AND UNLOAD AND SAVE ALL THE HASSEL AND HEARTBRAKE OF DEALING WITH SUPPOSED PROFESSIONAL MOVING COMPANIES.

Reading the reviews is why I picked this company. UNFORTUNATELY IT WAS A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR ME!!!!!
My living room leather sofa arrived with holes and tears, mattress and box spring, outdoor grill damaged and missing boxes which I did not mention everything. After trying for three months to file a claim they offered me $90.00.

Lost one of my moving bags which contained all My work items that I use as a merchant mariner, and offerd 18.00. The bag alone was worth eighteen dollars. Will never use this company again

We don't know what we are talking about. This is the first time I hear of anything missing. If there was an issue and you tried to contact our office, we would have resolved it. If you are offered an amount by the claims department, that is what your entitled to based on the valuation coverage that is not insurance. However, we always try to work with our customers. To try to compensate them, it's when possible or locate whatever missing item they have.

Scam
We used a broker who connected us with this company for our move. Unfortunately, the broker made many promises to us, and when these movers arrived, they had other plans in mind. They wanted to charge us for using moving blankets to wrap the furniture, they claimed we had more items (even though we actually had less than the original inventory due to moving things ourselves), and they dropped 5+ pages of legal documents in front me asking me to waive all claims if our items were damaged and saying they do not accept art, despite art being a part of our inventory list with the broker that they also had a copy of. We had also already signed a waiver like this with the broker. With no notice, they suddenly told us the total payment was due in cash, and delivery wouldn't be same day. It's completely sketchy that they want payment via CashApp or Zelle (#1 sign of a scam because they know you won't be able to claw it back). Go with someone legitimate. I spoke with a woman representing the organization who told me it was a "he said/she said" with the broker (even though neither of us could get in touch with the broker), and that she'd let me pay by credit card if I paid the entire cost up front, and we still would not receive same day delivery. She said it was a "risk for them" if we paid via credit card via cash, and I pointed out that she was shifting all the risk to us since we'd be paying in full before the job was completed and sending our furniture away with them. She then said this was too much trouble and she was cancelling the move. The movers literally had to unpack what they had packed. Terrible, awful experience with Michelle Mediavilla and her company.

We never serviced your move. You never paid us a penny. We never promised you anything. We did not try to charge you a penny more. You were told in writing by the broker any straight delivery moves need to be paid in available funds because we do not have time for any other form of payments to clear. We even made an exception to take your credit card payment until you started acting sketchy. We were willing to pack and take additional space free of charge. This is considered extortion and defamation of character. I am very glad that you are not our customer and that we did not service your move. The only one scamming anyone is you.

The charge was way beyond the quote and…
The charge was way beyond the quote and trying to justify the up charge with cubic feet in the truck was bull. The truck brought was half empty!!! Then asking for a gratuity, fine. I have. Then at drop I told them not happy with price and I think I got scammed. Called next day and wanted $700 more!!!!! Crazy

No one tried to charge you more. You agreed to the price when you receive the estimate and the foreman had the wrong information. He contacted you to let you know. There was a mathematical error that you can clearly see but it was already too late. We were hoping you would be an honest person and pay for the services that you signed for. We ended up taking the loss. Everything was agreed on.Prior to touching anything, we always follow protocol.

Bad service, awful communication.
My experience with Blackstone will have me never being a customer again. Their communication with me was simply awful during my move, both being unresponsive and giving me false information. I experienced the following during a 1-bedroom apt move:
1. They were initially unable to accommodate the preferred day of my move, unfortunate but okay.
2. Then, when they did arrive, it turns out they under-quoted me $400 so that was a fun surprise
3. They also promised disassembly and assembly of my furniture, but were unprepared to do so (did not have alan keys)
4. Throughout, they did not answer a plethora of calls. Scott, at their Florida office, is great, but their main Jersey office never answers the phone, and only called me back after leaving several messages with them, Scott, and the movers.
5. They then had their truck stopped on the way to my destination for having a broken headlight, and were unable to complete the delivery the same day. Even when they arrived, the driver said the headlight was still broken, so I question the state of their fleet and mechanics.
They also first lied and then were unresponsive throughout this delay, the driver and office failing to call or answer my calls throughout. Truly awful service. They told me about the delay hours after it happened, and first lead me to believe they would still arrive the same day.
6. The office then called me the next day and lied about when the movers would actually arrive
7. When everything was eventually unloaded, my desk drawer was damaged and multiple items were dirty from their truck.
When I complained about the service I received to them, they threatened me with additional fees and tried to make me feel bad about how that delay had hurt the company. I will never use them again, and encourage anyone else to look elsewhere.

Below is the email we sent the customer after having a few conversations. Not once was anything mentioned about damages. Any move that is that far of a distance is not a guaranteed delivery date. We explained to the customer from the begining that we couldn't guarantee same day, especiallywith the delay in the morning. The night before the move, the foreman commun9cated w the customer to ask if we can start the move at 7am instead of 8am in order to avoid traffic and get everything done on the same day. He responded yes. A little before 7am, he contacted Mauricio, ( the foreman) saying that he isn't available till about 8:30am because he had to go somewhere. The crew waited and couldn't start the move till after 9:30am and it was a 3rd floor. A walk through was completed and space was showed and explained prior to touching anything. Once the customer agreed, we proceeded with the move. He paid for space he used and $75.00 for 1 additional flight of stairs. As a courtesy, we did not charge him wait time which is clearly stated on the contract for the time the crew had to wait. This caused a domino effect for the rest of the day and delayed us getting to the next customer. With logistics, nothing is predicted. Anything can happen in route. Throughout the process, the driver stayed in communication with the customer. He was told we will do our best to get there as early as we could. However, due to unforseen circumstances, we had to wait until the next day to deliver. Around 11:30am, the delivery took place. The customer spoke w Scott and Zenio multiple times. He told Zenio he wants $450 or he is going to put a review. He left a voicemail stating that if this isn't resolved my noon today.a review will be posted. This is a form of extortion. We have proof of everything. EMAIL BELOW
Dear Mr Adam:
I understand that you are in the process of preparing a review for the move that we provided. We want you to know that we did everything that is expected of a moving company with regard to your move. Let me start by saying that you agreed to a window of time that started at 7 AM on Monday, March 3rd, 2025. We arrived at that time, and you were not ready for our movers to start the move. Actually, we had to wait 3 hours to begin the move. This caused our scheduling to become problematic, and we did not charge you for "waiting time". The Waiting Time amounted to a charge of $450.00, but again, we did not ask you to pay us, although it is clear in the contract.
Then, due to us having to wait this extra time, the move that we were scheduled to do that afternoon had to be delayed. We then had another unforeseen issue on the road and that caused us to be even later with our schedule. The best that we could do for you was to deliver your items the next morning. We did that, and our Foreman, Mauricio, was in contact with you throughout the entire process. I even spoke with you a couple of times, letting you know what was going on with regard to the delivery process.
Please understand that you got an expedited move/delivery, even though you were not charged for that service.
Then, you asked that someone from management to call you and Zenio reached out to you to assist. Please understand that our company tried to assist you in every way. We did nothing wrong. We actually provided expedited service, without charging you for that. We also waited three hours for you, and again, did not charge you for that waiting time, although it is clear that we could have, based on the language in the moving contract.
I do not know what else we could have to done to make this process better, but we feel that we went over and above with your delivery and by not charging you for additional services, when clearly, we could have. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the foregoing, as I will be happy to address anything else that you may need to discuss.
Have a good evening. Regards,
Scott James

I will never again go with a moving…
I will never again go with a moving company and I will never again use a broker to find us a moving company like Blackstone Movers, the contract isn’t black and white, too many grey areas. The contract says can take up to 30 business days to receive your stuff. The company is shady! They keep up the price and changing the contract. They didn’t even put in contract that I have 2 laptops and an iMac computer. The driver and mover was careless with my stuff throwing it in the moving truck. They switched drivers multiple times, charged extra to put in another truck because the 18 wheeler can’t get into my complex. This whole moving experience is a nightmare. If your reading this please please get a shipping pod!!! DO NOT go through this moving company they’re a rip off I’m not rich, so many hidden fees!

We don't know who this is nor can I find this name in the system. Customer service is our priority and this isn't the type of service we provide. Please send us information because we don't know who this person is and it doesn't seem to be our customer
