Hi Sarah, we understand your concerns about being overbilled. Please get in touch with [email protected] or call us 855-258-4797 so we may assist you. Starting on August 15, 2026, Oncor's rates were $4.06 per month and 6.0295¢/kWh. As of October 4, 2026, Oncor's rates increased to $4.06 per month and 6.8673¢/kWh. This rate change may explain the situation. We would love the opportunity to discuss this with you. Thank you.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Unfortunately, when it comes to the delivery of power to your house and outage issues, there's nothing we can do to assist beyond pointing you in the direction of your regional TDU (transmission and distribution utility). If there are electrical or wiring issues in your walls that impact your home's power reliability, we would recommend contacting an electrician. As far as your bill amount goes, we understand how frustrating it is to receive high bills. This summer has been very, very hot, which means you're probably relying on your air conditioner more than normal. Your AC is responsible for the majority of your bill during these months. We recommend that you set your thermostat between 76-78 degrees during the day and turn on your ceiling fans to save money. Additionally, keep your blinds and curtains closed during the hottest hours of the day. At night, set your thermostat to 72 degrees and continue to rely on ceiling fans as needed. Your ceiling fan costs significantly less than your AC to operate. Another factor that will increase your bills are the delivery charges from your regional TDU. These fees have increased by over 50% in the last few years, pushing bills higher than Texans are used to. There are no reports or data available to us about an individual customer's home related to voltage drops, surges, or micro-outages. This is because REPs do not manage the actual delivery of power to your home. That is the responsibility of your regional utility, Oncor.
