I love my Birdfy now that it is…
I love my Birdfy now that it is assembled. The directions were a bit confusing and it was hard to sinq my phone as well as another, but it's all good now.

The original perch was not very sturdy…but but the replacement is great.
The original perch was not very sturdy and snapped off. The replacement is much better, and we look forward to years of use.

Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service. Good quality bird feeder, but the plastic perch has broken twice on us, and the replacement is $20. Seems like a stronger perch would be appropriate, maybe metal? And perhaps lower cost on replacement parts.

Tolles Gadget für die Vogelbeobachtung
Lieferung und Versand:
Der Feeder wurde schnell und ohne Schäden von Amazon versandt und zugestellt.
Verpackung und Inhalt der Sendung:
Die Verpackung kommt kompakt daher. Im Karton ist alles enthalten, was es für den Aufbau und die Montage in diversen Varianten benötigt, was dafür sorgt, dass man den Einsatz direkt starten kann.
Konkret:
Montage an der Hauswand (Bohrvorlage, Schrauben, Dübel), an einem Baum (Gurt) oder an einem Rohr/einer Stange etc. (Schellen).
Lediglich wenn man wie wir das Vogelhaus an einem Erdspieß befestigen möchte, ist dieser natürlich nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten. Passende Schellen liefert Birdfy aber mit.
Anleitung und Aufbau:
Die Anleitung ist kurz, aber ausreichend. Das Erklärvideo in der Birdfy-App führt durch die wichtigen Installationsschritte und lässt keine Fragen offen. Die Kamera gibt während der Einrichtung passendes akustisches Feedback.
Der Aufbau ist einfach und lässt sich wahrscheinlich auch ohne konkrete Anleitung durchführen.
Ein weiterer Vorteil ist, dass sich das Futterhaus selbst ziemlich kleinteilig zerlegen lässt, was für die Reinigung von Vorteil ist.
Anwendung und erste Erfahrungen:
Wir wohnen in einem Garten, der auch vorher schon mit Vogelfutter ausgerüstet war und somit schon gut von Vögeln besucht wurde. Der Feeder von Birdfy wurde von den Gartenvögeln sehr schnell als weitere Futterquelle angenommen, was dafür sorgte, dass direkt viele Aufnahmen entstanden. Wenn man Vogelbeobachtung als Hobby hat, ist dieser Feeder eine wahre Freude. Die Kamera hat eine gute Qualität, der Akku reicht völlig aus und das Solarpanel sorgt für genügend Strom, auch bei schlechtem Wetter.
Hinweis:
Wir haben die Sensibilität der Kamera niedriger eingestellt, da die Kamera auch Bewegungen im Hintergrund sehr häufig aufnimmt und entsprechende "Fehlmeldungen" ausgelöst hat.
Birdfy-Abo:
Das Abo haben wir (auch für den Gratis-Testzeitraum) nicht genutzt, daher können wir zu den Vorteilen nichts sagen und dieses nicht bewerten. Auch ohne Abo ist der Feeder gut nutzbar und für unsere Form der Vogelbeobachtung völlig ausreichend.
Preis:
Der Preis ist im Vergleich zu anderen Artikeln in diesem Segment angemessen.
Fazit:
Das Vogelhaus ist robust, gut durchdacht und das Set aus Vogelhaus, Kamera, Solarpanel und Befestigungen ist gut durchdacht und liefert ein gutes Rundum-Paket.
Hinweis: Wir sind bereits Birdfy-Kund:innen und durften dieses Produkt gratis testen - das hatte allerdings keinerlei Einfluss auf diese Rezension.

Upgrades are worth it
The metal seed guard that replaced the plastic one(broken by squirrels) snapped in my easily and firmly, but it's easily removable for cleaning out. Delivery was prompt.
