Hi Green,
We thoroughly searched our systems and didn’t locate any record of you being a customer of ours. We asked Trustpilot to reach out to you on our behalf and request information that would help us verify your experience but regrettably, no response was provided from you.
We encourage you to contact us at (800) 645-8709 and ask for a Customer Success representative so we can help resolve this disconnect.

Birch Gold is a bait & switch…
Birch Gold is a bait & switch organization I was smoke & mirrored till I signed
200k Ira I got 135k in metals
I was absolutely crushed but didn’t know what to do? I’d NEVER recommend birch gold
Response from Birch Gold GroupMay 8, 2025
Promptly after receiving Ron’s feedback on Trustpilot, we reached out to him and have cleared up his misunderstandings and have addressed his concerns.
Birch Gold Group’s policies are navigated through transparency and integrity and do not have bait and switch practices. We have confirmed through his portfolio positions that he received all the metals he purchased, and he is currently in profit should he decide to sell the metals. Unfortunately, another Precious Metals dealer has been speaking to Ron and feeding him false information, but we believe we had a productive conversation, and we hope it provided Ron with the clarity he needed. We encourage him to call us should he need anything in the future.

Worst investment I could have made.I…
Worst investment I could have made.I told the rep. that I just wanted to preserve my initial investment not looking to make a lot of money he recommended coins and a small amount of bullion which I agreed. After three years of constant loss of value of my 200K initial purchase today I closed the account 174K.Buying coins on the advice of the rep was one of the worst mistakes I have made.

Gold 401k Not recommended with smaller $$
I moved to a Birch Gold 401k November 2020, moving over a 401k worth almost $17k and invested in what was recommended by Birch. I recently close the account and had losses of 31% of asset value and a total loss of 36% after fees.
The 401k was held through EquityTrust who are horrible to work with. I was asked by a birch representative why my experience with Equity Trust should hit them. I signed up for a 401k through Birch, at that time I was not given a choice on who the 401k would be held by. They chose Equity to partner with, and they get the reputation earned through that partner.
Update: Birch gold has called me twice concerning this review. The first individual asked, "I want to ask why you lied in your review, because what you put was plainly false." Because of this, I reviewed the data and updated my review to the exact percentages and timeframes. The second individual reminded me that the Economy is stronger than ever, which makes gold worth less, and that this was a self directed IRA, so all investments were my choice, as well as Equity trust is not associated with Birch.
Free advice back to Birch. If an individual is annoyed at your company, it is good PR to listen to the individual, state you are sorry for their experience and that their experience will be used to make future business decisions. Do not call them a liar, tell them their bad experience was their own fault, and they made all the wrong decisions in investing. This really does not help bring their business back.

recently did business with Birch Gold…
recently did business with Birch Gold Group. The value of my investment was reduced by 40%, $50k is now less than $30k. I'm retired RN BSN living on SS. I was forced out of nursing because I refused a vaccination. My projected pension is now a 1/3 of what it was projected to be at 65. This pension barely pays for my health insurance. I had to live off savings for two years until I could get SS. I trusted them with 2/3 of my nest egg. I was steered toward the most risky speculative coin they have, 2023 Austrailian Florin. Sold to me at the equivalent of $3900 dollars per ounce. meanwhile they had other options that would have been more suited for my needs, at $2400 per ounce. Then I'm told that if I liquidate any or all of my investment it will only be at melt value. I may need a bit of this money in the near future. I will lose my shorts on these coins. Other coins would suit my needs better. These people don't take any time to get to know their client and what their needs my be. At least as a nurse my job revolved around advocating for my patients needs. The only needs Birch Gold is interested in is profits and maximum commissions. These people would let patients die if it benefitted their bottom line. I Doubt I will ever break even. I will never recommend Birch gold to anyone.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for taking the time to speak with us, as we’re happy we were able to clear up the misunderstandings and resolve your concerns. As stated during the call, it’s important to clarify that your liquidation value was never the same as melt value, but more. Physical precious metals always have a value above spot/melt price.
At Birch Gold Group, we strive to educate our customers about the various metals so they can make informed decisions that align with their goals and needs. We understand that preferences can change over time, and we are always open to exploring accommodations to ensure customer satisfaction, as we did in your case. We hope that your revised purchase continues to meet your expectations and if you need anything in the future, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
