Works really well with keeping my pittie focused on moving forward. She can't chase after other animals when they distract her. I haven't been pulled off my bike by her since I've been using it.

It was great when my dogs were younger. I do suggest walking your dogs until they make their landmarks before taking on a bike ride.

Hi Sandra, Glad you enjoyed the Bike Tow Leash with your dogs when they were younger. As they age you must reduce the distance and frequency of rides for recovery. We are still almost daily riding with two ten year olds, a Golden and Lab mix 1 1/2 to 4 miles.

Great Item!
I love the bike tow leash and it certainly is better and safer than me carrying the leash while riding the tricycle. I have a recumbent trike and the u-bolt has to fit over the trike bar and then attach two nuts. The only problem was that the u-bolt should have been at least one inch or more longer. It was such a tight fit that I had to wait to get someone else to help with the assembly. Otherwise, I would rate this device as five star excellent. It is great to be able to bike and have my dog freely and closely attached.

Glad you enjoy safe trike rides. I remember you have a USX 3HD Sun recumbent Trike with an extra large axle. Most adult and recumbent trikes with two rear wheels use our standard Adult Trike Adapter clamp size. I've updated our website fit chart for your trike to use a 2 inch clamp instead of 1 3/4 inch that will give others more bolt length to work with.

Technically the tow leash worked well
Technically the tow leash worked well. My dog just did not seem to like it and so after using it maybe 8-10 times I decided to put it away.

Hi Gregory, So glad the BTL works great for you. A few ways to feel better about the cost are; fully made in USA, no nail trimming with regular use, no emergency rm or vet crash visits, happy and healthy dogs.

Hi Tia, While Westies are within the 10 to 185 pound recommended range for running on the Bike Tow Leash, for slower animals, a trike or other mobility device may provide a better pace.

The leash works great
The leash works great! Feels very high quality. We've started with short rides with our young dog to ease her in. My only trouble was figuring out the instructions, as someone who has an easier time with visual aides rather than reading the instructions. Way over-thought the installation.
