I have had a HORRIBLE experience with Big Lots!!! My problems started when I went in to the Cleburne, Texas Big Lots to buy furniture. Brandon helped us. He is awesome!! He helped me for over an hour trying out which furniture I wanted, or that that particular Big Lots even had ( but I get that, this whole Coronavirus has screwed everything up. So I found a beautiful T.V. stand (Hayden,) and a nice rocker (Bradford) but the sectional I wanted was out of stock, but Burleson had it, Brandon called them (and the guy there even went to back to make sure it was there) and I told them I was going home right then to order it on-line. (My dad was paying for all our furniture and I had left his card number at home). When I got home and tried to order it, it said Burleson had none . So I went back to my store , Cleburne, and they called and Burleson HALF of the sectional!! Who wants HALF of a sectional?!?!?! So they found a FULL sectional in WEATHERFORD (an hour from me) but they only had ONE and when there is only ONE, you can't order on line!! THAT IS RIDICULOUS, you should be able to order furniture, especially if the store has even one in stock!!! So, I went to my dad got his credit card, then drove ALL THE WAY TO WEATHERFORD (an hour from me). Then, after they told me they would hold my stuff until my movers picked it up, they sold it!!!! So then I had to rush around and find another Big Lots that had that Awesome Hayd en TV stand, but also a rocker that matches my Clairemont sectional that I ordered from Weatherford!! I finally found one store (Arlington) that has both so I ordered it on line, then I called them and the furniture guy said to call back so he could check to make sure that they actually have the furniture I just ordered!!!! What The Freak????? YOU ALL NEED TO WORK IN YOUR ON LINE SITE!!!!! THE INDIVIDUAL STORES SHOULD HAVE THE FURNITURE THAT THR WEB-SITE STATES THAT THEY HAVE IN STOCK!! THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE! THANK GOD THAT YOU HAVE AWESOME EMPLOYEES! Brandon and Dillon at Burleson and Mackenzie and Kent in Weatherford!! Please fix the on line issues!

I ordered a couch online and after ordering it said it was canceled. This same thing happened at 3 different stores. So I called the location near me and they said they had a return. I told them I would be in to buy it and they were going to hold it until I get there. I got there and they had already sold it!! After I tried to purchase it online and called!!

I have never shop at BIG LOTS before, so on 8/29/2020, my daughter and I visited the location in wood dale, Illinois. My purpose for the visit was to purchase dinner ware and wall decor. I went to pay and the items wrong up for 40 dollars, when the label on the shelve said 20 dollars, I communicated that to the cashier and he asked another cashier can she please do a price check, her response was NO!!. At the point I told them I did not want the items, because I didn’t want any problems, as I’m going back to put the items up the cashier that refuse to do the price check starts following me, there was no 6 ft, she was in my back, and told me I need to learn to read the label. I told her the label said 20 dollars. I went back to the front of the store and ask for her name, which is Karen and was told she is the manger. I must say I felt really I comfortable with the situation, because with everything going on in the world, me been a black woman and Karen been white, I felt like her tone and words when inappropriate. I will never spend my money and BIG LOTS and I would make sure my family and friends don’t. I hope BIG LOTS talks to Karen the manager, and train her on customer service.

do not EVER buy any kind of furniture from here especially dressers. It’s all garbage. You might as well use a cardboard box as a dresser! Thumbs down to a huge waste of my money

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM BIG LOTS! I ordered furniture back at the end of June. My account was charged for the furniture, then 2 weeks later put back. I heard nothing further, so on 7/17, I called and cancelled the order, the furniture had not yet shipped at this point. I still continued to receive emails stating that my furniture was being delivered to a local facility to be shipped AFTER cancelling it. I responded to those emails, making this company aware that the order is cancelled. No response. My account has now been charged again on 8/1, for furniture that I already cancelled, putting my account in the negative. I have called this company a total of 7 times since Saturday, each time being told that the person I’m speaking to acknowledges that the order is cancelled but can’t refund my money as there is a separate department for that. Every time I’m transferred to the correct department, I am on hold anywhere from 45 minutes to over an hour and then the phone just hangs up. I simply need my money refunded for furniture I did not receive because the order was cancelled 2 weeks ago. This company does not value my money or my time and I am extremely frustrated. This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I should not have to come on a public platform to get this resolved. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM HERE!

Everything I buy from Big Lots breaks. Bird feeder, Planters, Bird Bath---Bed sheets ripped after 4 months, along with the comforter. Frying pan which said it would not burn---burned! NO MORE for me.

Ordered a couch online. Received an email the following day saying it was processed and I would be contacted within 7-15 days. Over a month later and I have no couch and no updates. When I call, no one can assist me and when I am transferred, I've left VMs and been on hold for hours only to be disconnected and not called back. You have my money and I can't even cancel the order so I can get something else. This is not an acceptable way to do business.

I had a very disappointing experience with this store. The staff I delt with are rude,unorganized, and lazy. I purchased a kitchen counter height table and needed to get a truck and help to pick it up. After going 20 min home and calling a friend to arrange this we go back to the store and they say they dont have it . The manager refunded my money in cash and then gave me the SKU# to look up online. I found the table I wanted online but it was 45 miles away. I called the store and talked to a manager telling her my issues and asked if they could have it moved to a closer store and her response was "no anything else I can do for you." I will not be going back to this store to purchase anything and strongly recommend you force the sales person to make sure they physically have the item at that store if you purchase something . I feel they saw 45 miles away and all the arrangements needed was not an inconvenience and just something that they do.
