customer service has always been very helpful

The customer service is awesome! The platform is not particularly user friendly. would love to see more drag and drop type functions, a gallery where you can store and pull images, but all and all a good option

BigCommerce has a fairly easy to use interface. However when editing multiple items in multiple categories, it's very tedious. I've never used another platform like this, so I can't compare it to any of the other platforms out there. So far I'm pleased with BigCommerce.

The only issue I have is there Invoice/shipping templates, try folding one and putting it into a shipping label, Take a look at maybe Quickbooks who seem to know how to create a template that does not need custom folding to fit properly in to a Packing List enclosure. I have asked about this over the years but so far the person who must read it is blind because it's never been addressed.

Avalara Tax doesn't always have the correct Sales Tax for California. I had to check the Sales Tax rate that Avalara Tax charged for a sale in San Diego, CA and found that they were applying a tax rate 1% higher than the CDTFA states in their tax chart. I have asked several times for the sales tax RATE to be printed on the BC Invoice and always get told it is not important. I do not use BC for my accounting as I also do on-site sales that have to be accounted for when doing Sales Tax filings. Therefore I need to know the tax rates being applied by BC when creating invoices in my accounting system. It is very time consuming to have to back into the tax RATE on every sale through BC. Again, it is a simple matter of Avalara Tax transmitting the RATE to the BC software and BC modifgying the Sales Tax code line to include the tax RATE. Other than these issues, I recommend BC to other businesses.

Been on a few platforms and BigCommerce has been the favorite when it comes to affordability, up time and customer service. My only wish would be for more creative templates and some less standard “cart” styles ones. They are getting better for sure but some added space on home page for creative content would put them at 5 stars and the best for sure!! I had to go with a 3rd party template which has had some challenges on things working right but had to make that trade for the creative - when BC comes out with a template I can create my vibe on.. I will switch for sure!
