Terrible submitted all they asked for and they still wanted more information. Customer support is staffed by morons. Stay away from Betterment.

They breached my personal information due to poor security and all my most personal info went to the dark web. Has never been repaired and it's been years. I get regular security beach notices now from my other creditors, all thanks to Betterment.

Absolute terrible experience with my 401k account. I got an email stating that a conversion happened with my 401k that I did not authorize. When calling them, I was disconnected the first time, they did not call me back. So I called them back again and was told they would call me back because their system was not working. I also had trouble accessing my account and moving money multiple times. Truthfully a shady company. Unless you want to sit on the phone for hours, explaining your story 20 timez, while on hold so they can 'figure out what happened'..... I would steer very far and clear of betterment.

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with Betterment. I changed a $350 recurring deposit from September 15 to September 18 and received an email explicitly confirming the new date. Betterment withdrew the money on September 15 anyway, resulting in an insufficient-funds fee being issued from my bank. After contacting support, I turned the recurring deposit off entirely and specifically confirmed by phone that doing so would prevent another withdrawal. I also received an email confirming it had been turned off. Betterment processed the deposit anyway. That's two unauthorized $350 deposits being initiated within days. Mistakes happen, but having essentially the same problem occur twice—even after following Betterment’s instructions and speaking to multiple customer service representatives is unacceptable for a company handling my money. I’ve lost confidence in their platform and am moving my savings elsewhere.

They are terrible with withdrawing money. They put my account on a security hold and I am unable to receive my money even though I am the one who initiated the withdrawal. Their customer service is also useless.

Their poor internal controls allowed hackers to get my email address and personal information. Now, I am bombarded with spam. They are not trustworthy. I cancelled my account with them when ShinyHunters contacted me saying they have video of me using a porn site (which they do not and I do not).

Adding money was easy, but withdrawing it became a completely different experience. I spent months trying to get someone to address my withdrawal, only for it to eventually be rejected. After that frustration, I moved to #road to millions# and had a completely different experience smooth withdrawals, responsive support and a process that actually felt straightforward.

Stay away from Betterment investment, adding money is easy but pulling money out is hard. They gave me hard time in withdrawl, it took almost 7 to 8 weeks to withdraw money, not accepable in 21st century.
