I was after a test that would allow me to go away to Cyprus at the time but needed a certificate that would allow me to fly. I was looking at making a booking at the Rodney Street Clinic in Liverpool. There were two test available. An instant Covid-19 test and an Anti-body test. As I wanted me information I rang the phone number on there webpage and asked if I booked an instant Covid-19 test would this allow me to get the certificate needed that would allow me to fly abroad. I was told yes. So I went ahead and booked the test. When it come to get the test done. I arrived at the clinic and explained why we needed the test, I was then told this was not the test I needed so we never went ahead with the test. We were told at the clinic we would receive I refund but we haven’t. When ever I’ve politely phoned, I’ve found them to be abrupt and rude at times. Also changing their story. I was told that they were going to investigate the problem and see who was working on that day. Then just received an email in the following days saying a refund won’t be issued and no explanation into what they found in their investigation. Me and two other friends are now out of £195 each after being told before we booked it, it’s the test we are after.

Don't buy this!!!The gp nurse which didn't want to take the blood she told me it is a waste of money, no one take the blood to attached sample because they are not approved! You can do this only at ashlee healthcare which is recommend by better2know for another extra £50. They didn't inform before you buy kit about extra cost!

No instructions were provided in the package and the online ones were inaccurate - missed out steps and showed different contents to what I received. Had to do the test twice in the end as it was unclear how to do it properly. The lances are the type used for blood sugar tests, not to take substantial samples, so the 'milking' process was messy and ineffective. Overall, the process felt dodgy and unprofessional - so much so that I don't trust my test results. *Update January 2021* The company is going out of its way to get this review taken down even though it's been verified. Do legitimate, trusty-worthy companies try to silence their customers? I think not. Like I said last year, they're terrible.

In the small print, Better2know informs that if you want a refund- £50 of the £69 that is paid, is kept by them because of admin fees. My request for a total refund is legitimate because of the criticism by the World Health Organisation about the reliability of the type of Home Antibody Test that I had purchased from Better2know. " (in response to the reply from Better2know to this review) no explanation can legitimize the selling of a COVID- 19 home antibody test (finger-pricked method) whilst the World Health Organisation states such tests are unreliable). in an email to me, better2know unequivocally stated their confidence in the reliability of such a test. The plot now thickens. Since emailing my concerns, better2know has removed that particular Covid -19 Home antibody test from their site. removing any evidence that they were offering them in the first place!! Would you trust your hard earned cash with such a Company? This is my reply to better2know response to my review - I am not legally and morally obligated to be bound by the contract if the terms of agreement by better2know creating the contract is deliberately misleading and false.

The whole experience was fraught with problems from beginning to end. The original email did not have instructions attached and when I tried to access the website it said my pin number and password did not match. I emailed and was sent the original mail plus attachment - which my Mac told me could not be printed because of an error by the originator. No reply re my comment about pin no/password. The instructions told me to place the tube in the plastic packaging, which I did but since this was not flat it wobbled about all over the place and I lost the first few drops of blood. I used the two lancets and had a real problem getting enough blood after losing the first drops. There was no spare lancet, as detailed in the pack, to try again. Results email received quickly but of course pin and password did not match so I couldn't access results before phoning for a new password. No way can I recommend this firm for this test.

This company claims to be well established in the area of sexual health tests, and apparently decided to make a quick buck on Covid-19 antibody tests. The whole procedure was shoddy to a degree that I do not know whether to even trust my test results. 1.) Instructions did not match contents of test kit - different design and number of lances supplied. "Stable" holder kept vial for blood collection wobbling at an angle of 45 degrees. 2.) The type of lances supplied are suitable for the collection of one or 2 drops of blood (like for a blood sugar test), but not to collect a full ml. I needed a kitchen knife to assist... 3.) Collecting a ml of blood in an open vial is messy - very annoying that the label was already attached to the sample vial, meaning traces of blood were on the outside of that vial. By by biosecurity... 4.) User ID and password were sent in a single un-encrypted email, and I wasn't even forced to change the password upon first login. Yet they claim to respect patient confidentiality... 5.) My **Covid-19** test result was negative... and below is the advise I received for this result. Clearly a lot of care has gone into that, or perhaps not. "If your test is Negative Thank you for using Better2Know, but please remember that if you are sexually active with more than one sexual partner, regular testing every three to six months is always recommended. It is always advised to practice safer sex, Make sure you keep a supply of products, available from our shop with free delivery" In response to your reply: * Multiple reviews state that the lances do not work, and that includes my husband who asked for more lances to be sent out, as he got nowhere near the required ml of blood. * I can provide a photo of the vial in that container - wobbling at 45 degrees - it does NOT stand. * You provide a link to the NHS for **Covid-19 patients** - that does not apply to me - no current symptoms and a negative test as confirmed by you. Therefore I read the section labelled "If your test is Negative". Is it really too much to ask to receive custom advice given the price of this pack?

I bought the COVID antibodies test with Better2Know -The instructions were not sent with the main email despite saying that they are attached. -The full instructions are not easily accessible from their web if they are really there. I had to use a video from their promo website. -The little lancets in my kit were a joke, they don't have the required quality. I´d need to use around 20 of them to get the required blood sample. One hour after I can not even find the mark where I used them. Once I explain this in a mail to their support asked for better lancets or a refund I was ignored. I was only sent a standard mail with the PDF instructions. Likely because they always have the same issue and they didn't bother to read the emails. Nothing about the lancets, refund, or even an apology. Please understand this: make a mistake is not a big issue. We all make them. How you react is the important part. If you see that you made a mistake and you are unable to provide a valid solution then you are been incompetent. Ps. If you really read the full info you will find that they will not provide a certification with your name on it unless you pay them an extra 200£. So you can not use it for anything administrative. Only yourself. Update (Bad news): They call me to apologize after seeing my review. They promised to send multiple better lancets. At this point, I thought. Oh It is a one-time thing but no, it was the same disaster: I only received 2 terrible useless ones. After that, they tried twice to take this review down. Forcing me to confirm my product order with screenshots and later asking me to confirm that I selected the right company. I hope they don't do this with every bad review. Yes, I bought the COVID antibodies test with Better2Know on Jun 6th 2020 and I don't recommend it to anyone.

Had my Covid19 antibodies test done and got results back pretty quickly but absolutely nothing to say what the results were except for saying Negative which I also think is wrong. Asked for a proper results sheet for my doctor and was emailed a pathology report which was just the same as on my account area except this time included my name. How can my doctor have anything at all to go off when the only thing mentioned was Covid-19 antibody test result Negative. Where are the actual figures which show reactive or nonreactive index numbers of my result or any other details of how the test was done and what the results were in medical terms. It was a couple of days after I ordered my test that I found out that the government had stopped these tests from being done as they don't think that they are reliable enough when blood is taken from the finger using a lancet and should be taken from a vein until they know how reliable these tests are so why are these tests still being sold? I paid £60 for this test and notice that they are now £70 on Better2know website so sounds to me like they are taking advantage of a bad situation. Why are they doing a test that even the manufacturer of the tests advice sheet from Siemens says they need to follow recommended procedures for collection of diagnostic blood specimens by venipuncture (drawn through the vein). They also state that specimens should be stored at 2 - 8c if not tested within 8 hours. How can my specimen have been stored at that temperature when it took around 24 hours to arrive back to them? I feel that they are misselling this test which in no way can be classed as giving a reliable result and have requested a full refund because 1 they ignored government action and 2 they did not follow Siemens Healthineers AG procedure in conducting this test but am still awaiting a response to the email I sent them yesterday morning. If they can reply to people who review them on here then surely they should be able to respond to my email. I am now going to put a complaint in with the MHRA and Siemens Healthineers AG as I feel that they should know that Better2know are conning people with these tests as they shouldn't be selling them until authorised and it has not been authorised by Public Health England. Anyone wanting to look at the factsheets just google fda gov medical devices emergency situations authorised serology test performance. They have also now stopped using the Siemens Healthineers AG antibody test and are now using the Abbotts one the same as the government are using. The new one they are using is also to be done drawing blood from the vein and not the finger lancet method. I would hope that by switching to this new test and stopping doing it the old way they would have held their hands up to having been doing it wrong and contacted me to apologize and give me the refund I am entitled to but no they have completely ignored me both through email contact and on this reviews site. Strange how they have replied to every single review except mine don't you think. ****************** EDIT UPDATE 2 ****************** After sending another email I was still ignored so used the online. She was very polite and arranged for me to receive a phone call the following day. As promised I received a phone call from someone higher up the following day who was also very polite and apologised for the way I had been treated. I have now been fully refunded so thank you Better2know for that. I was also told that the test I had been given was a test by Epitope as they have used three tests so far. On googling this test what I found was that it is not FDA or PHE approved. Also more alarmingly the fact sheet for this test says that samples should be used on the same day meaning that anyone who has had this test done then it would have been impossible to get a true result as the sample would already be out of date by around 24 hours or more from when being taken to travelling through Royal Mail to reach them at their laboratories. I therefore feel that all these tests done so far have probably been very unreliable and will be waiting until I am able to get one done through the government as I feel B2K have just taken advantage of a bad situation. Once again though thank you for my refund and for being pleasant and courteous once I spoke to someone higher up on the phone. I also upped my score to 2* as you refunded me.
