RUN AWAY! What a waste of my time and hard earned…
What a waste of my time and hard earned money!! I should've known when saw the RED FLAG in the contract saying it would automatically renew after the year was up unless I let them know in advance. I was deceived into believing Facebook ads were actual ads, and not useless "impressions" I was later told were on websites such as the Weather Channel & a recipe website. Getting my ads to look decent took multiple back & forths until I gave up asking for the same thing 4 times (how hard is it to leave equal space on both sides of an image?) I was eventually transfered to another ad manager who gave me a few bigger magazine ads, but it didn't lead to a single customer in a year. If I thought I'd have a chance with BBB I would've filed a claim. BUYER BEWARE, stay away and spend your money on someone who knows how to do SEO & AI on your website.

Shady
Shady process throughout, sales rep reached out and claimed to be a small business owner. Ads are terrible, pretty much a repost of my other ads with worse wording. Very dissatisfied. Don’t sign up.

We’re sorry to hear you’ve been disappointed with your experience. Our local reps are independent contractors who operate their own businesses while being backed by our resources and support teams. We’re always happy to work with our clients on ad adjustments upon request.

Complete scam they said they would run…
Complete scam they said they would run ads for my company and everytime I told them I needed to generate leads and gave them what I was looking for the decided on running what they thought was best (I got zero leads) it was a complete waste of money and when I told them I wanted to cancel because they didn’t hold up to their side of the contract they continued to charge me monthly. Horrible company

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience. We fulfilled the terms of our agreement and provided the services outlined in your contract. While we always strive to help our clients achieve great results, we do not promise a specific return on investment. Our team also made multiple attempts to connect with you and address your concerns, but unfortunately, did not receive a response. We wish you all the best moving forward.

Caution Business Owners
In my experience, my understanding of the agreement differed significantly from what was contained in the written contract. What I believed I was agreeing to was not consistent with the obligations that were later enforced.
Before signing, consider having the contract reviewed by a lawyer or other qualified professional. Once the agreement is signed, you may be bound by terms that are difficult or costly to exit. Taking the time to fully understand the contract beforehand could save you significant frustration and expense later.
This is based on my personal experience, and I encourage others to conduct their own due diligence before entering into any long-term contractual commitment.

Consider this a warning to any small business owner considering Best Version Media.
Before signing, make sure you read every word of the contract and fully understand what you are agreeing to. Get every promise, representation, and expectation in writing. Do not rely on verbal statements made during the sales process.
My experience has been that once the contract is signed, you are locked in. If the service does not meet your expectations or differs from what you believed you were purchasing, you may find that you cannot cancel, modify, or otherwise exit the agreement. The company still expects full payment regardless of your level of satisfaction.
I wish I had done more research before signing. If I had paid closer attention to the experiences of other customers, I likely would have made a different decision. Proceed with extreme caution.

Beware and stay away from BVM
My experience with Best Version Media was extremely disappointing.
When I was approached by the local San Ramon publisher, the opportunity was presented as a comprehensive marketing partnership that would help grow my business through community exposure and various marketing initiatives. Looking back, the scope of what BVM actually provided was far more limited than what was conveyed during the sales process.
I specifically expressed concerns about entering a long-term agreement. During those conversations, I was assured that if I sold my business, I would be able to exit the contract. When that situation eventually occurred, BVM did not honor what had been represented to me. Instead, I had to produce documentation and repeatedly defend my position while receiving persistent collection and contract enforcement communications.
The results were also disappointing. Despite paying significant fees, I found myself writing my own feature article and creating much of my own advertising content. The creative support provided was minimal, and I often felt like I was doing the work that I thought I was paying BVM to handle. If I’m writing the articles and creating the ads myself, it’s fair to ask what value the company is actually providing beyond selling ad space in a local publication.
Overall, I felt the sales process oversold the benefits and understated the limitations of the program. The contract terms heavily favor BVM, and once you’re signed, there appears to be little flexibility regardless of the circumstances. Business owners considering BVM should carefully scrutinize every representation made during the sales process and rely only on what is explicitly stated in writing.

We understand how frustrating it can be when expectations and experiences do not align. In this case, your campaign ran for three months, during which you received a Business Profile feature, a complimentary digital ad upgrade and cover family recognition, in addition to your advertising presence in the publication. When you sold your business and provided the requested documentation, your account was closed accordingly. While we're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, we appreciate the opportunity to have partnered with you.

Watch your contract and your rep!
Watch your contract and your rep!! They give you a great deal if you increase the number of months, but then the contract says it AUTO renews for the same amount of time. You must give 30 days written notice, and your rep will magically not remind you.
