Best trans place hands down. Good service and warrenty

this review isn't about their transmissions but rather how I was treated by Anthony at best buy. I'd ordered a transmission not necessarily because I'd needed one but because it's got quite a few miles and it was being almost removed to access my engine rear main seal. fast forward several days, I got in a bigger hurry for the truck than what the order could accommodate so I called to cancel my order. when I did that I was told my order had been shipped already and there'd be a handling fee for it's return. not one to want to spend dollars for nothing (on my end) I figured I'd just keep it when it came in, get a core from the scrapyard to return, and put the one in transit in later. well, the following day I checked my email, and I'd been sent one the day before with the tracking information confirming it had indeed been picked up - 2 hours after I'd called to cancel my order. I wasn't too pleased. I email them explaining my position and how it looks as if for the sake of the sale someone wasn't honest regarding the ship time. given what appeared to have happened, while considering my admittedly late cancellation attempt, I was prepared for about any response. what followed was Anthony taking comlete responsibility for what it turns out wasn't dishonesty, but a lag in their being made aware of exact shipping times which led to the situation. he then guaranteed me to not incur any expense if I wanted to still cancel the order and said regardless my choice he was truly sorry. since my transmission was already back in my truck I cancelled. true to his word he refunded my payment in full. I feel I was treated beyond fairly, enough so that I felt sharing my experience was in order. one question I would've asked, probably should've before my order, and would if I ordered again is how the warranty works. research I've done (not thru best buy) indicates that they are resellers of the transmissions from a place that doesn't deal with the general public. everything we buy is done this way, so no big deal there. this place has a shorter advertised warranty than the 5/100 though, so it's probably additional coverage being purchased. a lot of places do that. my question would be if best buy were to go out of business, or retire, or close for any reason, who holds the actual warranty and what would need to happen to pursue a repair or replacement in a situation where best buy wasn't available? I'd imagine they'd have a response to this, but I don't need to ask now

I had a very small issue with my transmission it ended up in the shop and they backed there warranty 100%. Jonathan and Anthony and Mike the technician and their whole team is amazing they work hard to get the problem resolved and stand behind their product I was going through a really difficult time trying to get ready to leave town and they made it happen to get my problem resolved as soon as they possibly could which is faster than anyone else could’ve done it. I just want to say thank you again you guys are amazing and a great company and really do build good transmissions just because there was a flaw due to a bad install from a professional shop does not mean you guys do not stand behind your product and make a good product I would recommend Best Buy transmissions to anyone who needs a transmission great people to work with and deal with.

Hello, I wanted to give the transmission I installed in my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 plenty of time to break in before I wrote a review so I figure 3 years after the install was a pretty good time. I actually just did the first transmission service with 20000 miles on the transmission, bands adjusted fluid and filter changed and everything is looking awesome. I was really surprised at how well the transmission is performing. There’s a lot of scams on the internet but this is not one of them. Thanks a lot Bestbuy trans and I promise I will return for anymore transmission needs....Thanks Wayne

So it's been a few months now since my purchase in October 2019, and quite a few thousand miles, short trips, longer trips, highways, local driving, mountain roads, and everything in between. So far the replacement automatic transmission and torque converter I purchased and had installed in my 2005 Dodge Dakota 4x4 (v6) has held up to everything I've thrown at it. Started off with a little bit of a rumble whenever shifting between 1st and 2nd gear, but it didn't affect the performance, and that has since went away. Little bit of a break in period maybe? Either way, I couldn't be happier with my purchase, they were professional in every way, and their price could not be beat.

I purchased a EO4D from Best about 18 months ago for my 1991 F350 7.3 IDI truck. Shipping and returns was super easy. WOW this truck always had some trouble pulling heavy loads because its a non turbo engine. With this transmission it has improved it's towing. I wouldn't believe it if I didn't own it, We shopped hard over the internet and locally. Best was 800.00 cheaper than my next choice. I recommend these guys to anyone needing a transmission. Would do it over again the same.
