I’ve been waiting a week to hear from them regarding a very simple straight forward warranty claim. I called after three days and they sent me an email saying we’ll get back to you today or tomorrow morning that’s 4 days ago. Now when I call it goes to voicemail and the voicemail box is full. I run a small service business and have not been able to provide my customers any service or give them a date and time when I can. I’m forced to purchase a transmission from another company because I can’t afford to lose any more business.

Never in my life would I buy a…
Never in my life would I buy a transmission from this online seller or any other for that fact. Absolute terrible customer service. Both from them and ETEREMAN.com(where they get them from). They tout the "best service" and the "best transmissions" of anywhere!!. Bull crap. For 6 days now and counting I have been trying to get a programming error cleared up, to no avail. Taylor at BBT said no need to program. But the install paperwork that came with the tranny (in bold red lettering) said this transmission needs to be programmed before driving. Tried to bypass BBT and goto ETE (the manufacture) and their service is equally as bad. Will not get back to you. Paul from there told me, "yeah we've been telling people not to program them". Must be you got one of the old manuals with your transmission. Isn't that just a punch in the balls.
Whelp....still waiting...10/27/21

There online rating us a joke
There online rating us a joke. No way this company could be more than a 2
July 2020 I purchased a transmission from best buy, when I got it I took thepan off and saw a bunch of brass. I called bb. The first words out of their mouth was why did you take the pan off. After going back and forth they did replace it.
When I got the replacement the very same thing happened and they said the brass was from the rebuild process. I knew this was bs but I was on somewhat of a deadline.
So I take off with camper in tow heading for Arizona where I had to climb mountains of course. I was pulling off very often as I kept my eye on the transmission temperature guage. If it got to 190° I pulled over hoping that baying the transmission would help preserve it.
When I reached my destination I pulled out the dipstick and it was extremely foul smelling. The fluid was definitely burnt. So I changed fluid and filter 5 times driving 50 to 100 miles in between. When I first opened the pan there was a 1/4 of black goo in there. Could barely see the magnet. Eventually this improved. I think I ran out of material because I lost reverse.
I couldn't find anyone in the area to worry on it and I had to move. I was on blm land and there's a 14 day limit but after messing with this transmission I had been there 4 weeks and was ordered to leave understandably. I should have been fined but the officer was very understanding and very nice
I decided to go to Florida knowing I wasn't going to make it but a friend of mine knew a mechanic that specializes in transmissions
I actually made it to Florida and parked at my friend's place. I had to keep driving it so I could get necessities but eventually it was on its last legs. All this driving and I put a total of 5,325 miles, had 5 fluid filter changes not what I was expecting
BB assured me this very thing wouldn't happen, they knew where I was heading and that im handicapped unable to walk long distances.
I took it to the transmission shop and called/texted best buy. I didn't hear anything from them for 2 hours. I was home after asking another customer for a ride.
They wanted me to go back and take pics of vin #, mileage, oil leaks which there were none, codes, which there were none
Remember I have no ride. Im on my friends land not with my friend. I ask them to call the mechanic for some reason they wouldn't and there was no way in hell I can walk 13 miles in nice weather.
The specialist said it was a catastrophic failure do to several things. The biggest being a bearing that was completely gone. Pieces of metal throughout the system so that means a new radiator.
BB warranty states they will replace needed parts. But if your mechanic opens up your transmission to see whats needed it voids the warranty. BTW, they recently changed their warranty. I didnt purchase this warranty
So for a total rebuild and radiator so far the estimated price is 3862.50 but I did have them install a better converter to pull my camper. Best Buy said it had one in their already.
This morning my mechanic calls to update me and said Best Buy offered to send another transmission. Now they talk to my mechanic after 7 days leaving me hung out. Why would I want a 3rd piece of crap.
I would never buy from Best Buy again and suggest you save to buy from anyone else. Mechanic said monster transmissions aren't rebuilt either. My cost so far 2500 + 3862.5 and counting plus I finally was able to get a rental car.
Believe me, look in your pan first. For what I've got in this transmission I could gave purchased a brand new one from Chrysler. I haven't checked Chrysler price but 6300 should buy a new one. Do not buy from these guys. Alden Jones

I would give Best Buy Transmission NO…
I would give Best Buy Transmission NO stars! This is the most incompetant place ever! They only talk to you if your buying a product, but after purchase you cant get ahold of them! They don't answer your calls or emails! The return policy is a joke! They say it must be returned in 30 days from purchase but it was more then 30 days before you get your order! What a scam! Do yourself a favor buy local! You will save a lot of headaches! They promise the moon when your purchasing but your yesterdays trash when you have paid! Stay away from this company!!

Transmission lost reverse after 5k
Transmission lost reverse after 5k, miles. After considerable effort, they did honor the warranty. But, the replacement transmission was faulty immediately. My mechanic discovered that the retainer clip was not installed properly. After more b#ll$h1t they issued a replacement valve body. Mechanic installed. Took them six months to honor warranty.
I ended up having to cover $500 in additional parts and labor. The original install price was $700 parts and labor. No truck for 6 weeks. The transmissions were coming out of Wisconsin.
They are based in Florida for a reason: they're business practices are shielded against lawsuits. You might want to check Monster.

Stay far away from this place..
Stay far away from this place... I purchased a transmission from them last year to replace the 42re in my Jeep. I thought with a warranty to 100k, they must have a good product. Wrong... I received the transmission, installed it and didn't make it two days until it came apart. The pan was full of metal shavings... the warranty claim was a pain in the ass too. I took the Jeep to Aamco and had them replace the 1st trans with a warranty replacement. When it arrived, the torque converter had a hole in it...in the damn crate. Aamco took pictures, which were sent to Best buys warranty department. They sent another converter out and it got installed. Now, after approximately 20k miles my transmission stops pulling in reverse when cold. So here we go again... these people must hire Jiffy lube mechanics to rebuild their transmissions... an absolute joke. Pay a shop to do a rebuild and deal directly with them... its much easier.

If I could give the maximum negative…
If I could give the maximum negative rating I would . Jonathan the manager of warranty is a joke ! Will tell you it's on its way took 5 weeks to get a nation wide replacement. So if your broke down somewhere plan on being there a while . We even asked if his next excuse was going to be the bad weather we had moving in . He laughed and said we are located in Wisconsin we deal with bad weather all the time. Well they're in Florida not Wisconsin so that was a lie and missed another deadline. Don't believe the reviews on their site do your own research and you will find horrible reviews. I had to threaten to get a lawyer to get my so called warranty transmission. Will never do business with BEST BUY Again!! Worthless lying manager in my opinion . Definitely not worth the hassle for a tranny that never held up in the first place. ☆ BUYERS BEWARE !!!☆

Over a month later still waiting.
13 days after ordering a transmission, a transmission got to the shop I had it delivered to. The following day I brought my pickup to the shop and found out that the wrong transmission had been delivered. I notified customer support, they had me take pictures of the tag on it and text to them. He said they would look into what happened and get back to me. I asked when and he said it may take a while because he'll have to make several phone calls. 3 days later I called and left a message. A woman called back, after I explained what was going on and she said Jonathan would call me back shortly. He didn't. Meanwhile the shop where my pickup and the wrong transmission was at kept calling wanting to know what was going on. A week after being told Jonathan would get back to me shortly, 24 days after I ordered the trans, I called, talked to Jonathan, he said that the wrong transmission that was delivered should be picked up tomorrow, he would look into delivery date for the correct trans and get right back to me. A short time later I received an e-mail with 10 claim forms attached asking to describe the problem and take pictures of the damage, leak, etc. etc. I called Jonathan back asking if he had really just sent me that e-mail and was told not to bother with those that their automated system sent them. Then he tells me that he understands my frustration but that their company is too big for anybody there to know what's going on with my trans and that they have over 300 employees. Maybe I should have known better than to order a trans online from a company 4 time zones away. Over a month later I still haven't gotten my trans.

Update:
5 weeks after ordering, still haven't gotten my trans and no word on when it would be shipped. I called on a Friday afternoon asking for my money back. I was told I would get a full refund but first he needed to call to stop the shipping. By Tuesday I hadn't heard anything, so I called again asking for my money back. Shortly thereafter I received an email receipt and the money was refunded to my credit card. I had the shop that was going to install the trans rebuild mine. Less than a week later it is done. I only have a 1 year 12000 mile warranty but I know they'll stand behind it. If you can't even get a return phone call and the company is too big for anyone there to know what's going on with your trans, a 5 year 100000 mile warranty is just a piece of paper.
