Dear Dermot, Thank you for your review. We would like to provide some context for other readers so they can form a complete picture. Our bike fitting tool includes a recommended "green" range for back angle. During your fitting, the adviced back angle was manually adjusted to a position well outside this range — an unusually upright position that is far from average. The system responded with a clear warning stating: "You have selected a back angle outside the 'green' range. If you continue with this choice, this will result in less common bike fit advice. It is possible that no suitable bicycles can be found for this advice." Despite this warning, you chose to continue with the manually selected position. Given that choice, our system correctly identified that only a larger frame size could accommodate the required stack height — 88mm more than an average riding position. This is not a flaw; it is the accurate and logical outcome of the position you selected. We reached out via email, explained the underlying mechanics in detail, offered our help and offered a full refund — which was processed upon request. We stand behind the quality of our advice. When the fitting tool is used within its intended parameters, it delivers reliable results. In this case, the outcome was a direct consequence of a manual override made against the system's explicit advice. We wish Dermot well and hope he finds a setup that works for him. Kind regards, Best Bike Advice
