Nearly $10,000 spent and still no finished website
I hired this company to build a custom WordPress site. From the beginning, they said the project would take one to two development sprints to complete. I provided clear requirements and examples, and even handled a lot of the setup myself—uploading content, configuring plugins, and doing extensive testing to save time. Despite all that, the project kept dragging on. Every small adjustment seemed to require more hours. Something as simple as improving the checkout layout was suddenly quoted at 10–20 hours, even though the payment plugin already included a built-in checkout system. I understand paying for skilled work, but after spending nearly $10,000, the site was still unfinished. I never received a detailed breakdown of how the hours were used, and I later realized that even routine communication time on Slack counted against my total. Hours disappeared quickly with little visible progress. The team is technically capable, but the project management and communication were disappointing. I found myself fixing several items that were supposed to be included in the original work. In the end, it felt like the focus was more on billable time than on delivering a completed website. If you decide to work with them, make sure you have a clearly defined scope with measurable deliverables, request weekly time logs showing specific progress, and clarify what counts as billable communication before you begin. They can produce solid technical work, but in my experience the value and transparency didn’t match the cost or the expectations that were set.

Hi Chaz. We're very surprised to see this review, as it just doesn't line up with the facts. You personally agreed in writing to a flexible, 40-hour sprint model, not a "fixed scope" project. The total cost was $6,800, not "nearly $10,000". The timeline didn't "drag on". You personally paused the project for 8 months. When you were ready to resume, we scheduled you for the next available start date, which you agreed to. We kept you updated on hours all along. Your new claim that we billed for "routine communication time on Slack" is completely false. The hours were for development, which you were kept in the loop on. The final issue was you asking for a 10-20 hour custom checkout redesign with only a few hours left in your sprint. When we explained this, our CEO personally offered to build it for you for free just to get you launched. You refused that free offer, locked us out, and posted this. We've built our over 10-year reputation on seeing projects through to the end, even when they get complex. We were fully prepared to do the same for you. It's unfortunate you chose to let emotions get in the way of your own business goals.
