Greatest Health Related Decision I Have Ever Made
I was in very poor physical shape. In November, I had topped out at 308 pounds. I felt terrible, I was always tired, my hips, knees, and ankles were killing me, and I was very depressed. I began my journey by looking at bariatric surgery options locally (midwest United States). I quickly found out that my insurance excluded bariatric surgery, and the cost for the vertical gastric sleeve procedure was around $27,000. Since a lot of my work involves internet marketing, I began searching for alternatives. I quickly found out that there was an industry out there called medical tourism. That's where I found BeLiteWeight. I called and spoke to Sylvia, a patient coordinator, who was very attentive to my needs. I had never traveled internationally, and to even consider leaving the country was pretty scary. Sylvia took as much time as necessary to answer each and every question I had. I asked for referrals, and she literally sent me hundreds. I probably emailed 75 people on the list with the same list of questions. Were you safe? Was the hospital clean? Were there hidden fees? How were the doctors? Any complications? Would you do it again? The list went on. Practically every person I contacted responded. I NEVER GOT THE FIRST NEGATIVE RESPONSE! Everything Sylvia told me was verified time and time again. I traveled to Juarez, Mexico on November 29, the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I could go on about every little thing, but let me just sum my experience up in a few short statements. I had absolutely no surprises during my trip. The hospital was literally the cleanest hospital I've ever seen. The nurses were very attentive, and even though there was a language barrier, it wasn't a problem. The doctors, Dr. Rod, Dr. Elmo, and Dr. Solis, were far and away the most attentive, personable physicians anyone could ever hope to cross paths with. The experience was 100% as I expected, and I would recommend anyone who is considering this to contact BeLiteWeight and Sylvia today! There's one last thing I haven't mentioned. That's the cost associated with BeLiteWeight's services. I'm not going to publish my cost because that sort of thing changes over time. I will tell you however, my quoted expense was between 1/4 to 1/3 of what I was quoted locally, and that's a HUGE savings! I'll also tell you that I found some places cheaper. However, those places perform the surgery itself in either a hospital or a surgical center and then they ship you off to a local hotel to recover. The hospital the BeLiteWeight uses in Juarez is a full-service hospital, complete with a trauma center. The US Consulate and Embassy both use this hospital. The difference with BeLiteWeight is that they keep you in the hospital the WHOLE time. You might pay a little more, but if you're planning on going outside the country for surgery, paying more for good peace of mind is well worth it. I weighed 308 pounds on November 8, 2015. My surgery was on November 30, 2015 and I weighed around 298. Today is February 24, 2016, not even 90 days out from surgery, and I weigh 234. I have my energy back, I'm in the gym almost daily, I'm sleeping like a baby, and I feel like a million dollars. I owe all of this to the great people at BeLiteWeight. You won't go wrong here!
