BELFOR Property RestorationReviews of belfor.com

The professionalism of Charles Klinger was absolutely amazing. The way he guided me through this process was outstanding. Whatever I didn't know he made suggestions and whenever I wanted anything, he did it.Thank you for an outstanding job

We contacted Belfor Saint John, New Brunswick, after significant water damage in our brand new home. Blake attended promptly for the initial assessment and was professional and thorough in person. However, communication completely broke down after that. Multiple texts went unread or ignored, calls went unanswered, and voicemails were not returned — ultimately requiring escalation to General Manager Chris just to get a response. Even then there was no follow up to my inquiries. Behind the scenes my insurance company was also trying to establish communication over days. When the written report finally arrived, it was incomplete and not consistent with what was assessed on site. Key findings that Blake had verbally committed to documenting — including specific observations about contributing factors to and path of the water damage — were absent from the report. What we received did not accurately reflect the full scope of what Blake saw and measured during his visit. Dealing with active mold risk in a brand new home is stressful enough without having to chase your remediation company for basic follow-through. Would not rely on Belfor Saint John for a situation requiring clear communication, responsiveness, and professional integrity in their documentation.

These guys are crooks. My insurer hired them for drying works, firstly they installed faulty equipment that shorted my electrics, secondly and more inexplicably, the guy responsible for drying works signed the works off as dry despite visible and wet to the touch dry patches that I pointed out and he had the audacity to gaslight me saying it was just staining. Had to contact the loss adjuster who confirmed the site was still soaked through. Next contractor did the job correctly and extracted over 60 litres of water from the so called dry site. But this is not the worst. Despite being fired by the insurer I'm receiving countless texts calls and emails requesting me to pay my excess to them! I do not understand how they are allowed to operate. Avoid at all costs.

Exceptionally unhappy with my experience of Belfor. They were employed by my home insurance company following a leak to assess and dry my property. The engineers were fine but the admin/office was shockingly poor. They were disorganised, poor at communicating, shockingly bad diary management, seemed to think people don't work and can be in 24/7 and were ultimately responsible for a 3 month delay to fixing my house. My kitchen was removed all ready for them to start drying but they had some 'issue' and I had to wait a further 2 months before they could fit the dryers. I thought it would be easier using the home insurance suppliers but with hindsight I would have used my own and claimed back the costs. As a result of their mismanagement the overall cost of the insurance repair project increased.

so we had flood damage and Belfor was chosen for do the repairs. In a small town house it took so long to get it finished. so many past dates for it to be finished. The workmanship was not the greatest. so many shortcuts and what was listed to be done or replaced was not. one thing was the vanity that was sitting in 6" of water for days and it soaking up the water they put back in place, but the vanity that wasn't in much water on another floor was replaced with a very cheap one. the flooring was said to be replaced with hardwood but is now vinyl flooring. after the flooring was installed they didn't protect it very well and spilled paint all over the floor in a few places, and not just a few drops. Furnace pipes were not connected in 3 places. they took toilets out of the washrooms to fix everything and the basement one was sitting in the utility room with the lid in the bowel and they broke it and replaced the lid but broke the bowel but i didn't see it on final walk threw. asked Ben at Belfor about it and said it was like that and took no responsibility and more less said the deal was closed. So more less saying to bad go away. Really think hard about using Belfor for any work. Crappy workmanship and insurance scammers at the one in Kingston
